This feels like a high class hotel very well kept. It’s absolutely gorgeous with great views of the ocean and sunset. The entertainment team puts on a good penetrating show. The fire one was excellent! Delicious food with lots of variety. Spectacular breathtaking pools in perfect spots for ocean viewing. Great yoga spot on the sand and in the shade. The entertainment manager Juan works incredibly hard and does so with a lot of heart, care, and conscientiousness. I feel blessed to be here with such kind staff.

The service at this resort is exceptional! Special recognition to Carmina from UVC club as well as the waiters at Portofino Juan and Antonio. Actually all staff were amazing. The food is great, beds are very comfortable. The resort is in excellent shape and very beautiful so well worth the price. We hope to get to go back some day. The sunsets from the hotel are phenomenal and are a must. They have a whale watch bell on the beach for winter whale watching. Overall a definate 5 star experience!

Maybe this was a nice hotel at some point but not right now. There’s a new hotel being built within 20 feel right next door to 50% of the rooms. It’s maybe 30% done. So years left in construction. It’s loud. Everyday all day. It’s loud. Saws and hammering. Because it’s loud they have the pool music turned up super loud and it’s not relaxing at all. It’s loud everywhere and it’s busy. Very busy. Now they happen to be hosting what looks like a 300 person wedding now but it’s party city because of that. If you’re looking for relaxing on the beach (nearly non existent here) this ain’t it. The property its self isn’t horrible but it’s a maze with a lot of walking. It we were staying 5 night it’s more it would have been ok. The customer service in general was not great at checkin. It felt like a hard rock. Which if you’ve been is loud, busy and a party culture. We also had to sign a “no drug” policy at arrival, which is indicative of the culture. I have been o Mexico man many times and never been asked to sign a no drug policy. Right now…. Don’t book here.

Very disappointed..this was my 3rd trip to Secrets Bahia Mita but the food was mediocre at best except Bordeaux and Seaside restaurants. The beach was full of seaweed that they never removed like Cancun resorts. Be sure to get up early to reserve you pool lounge chair at the preferred rooftop pool because it was all taken by people who didn't show up until late afternoon by 10am even though they open at 11am. They specifically tell you you cannot reserve pool chairs but they do not enforce it. Rather enjoyed the regular pool since there was games and entertainment. Saw the most beautiful sunset one day and the Mexican night and BBQ night was great.

My husband and I did our wedding and honeymoon at Dreams/ Secrets Bahia Mita Surf and Spa in October 2024. We couldn't be happier about our experience. This was a same sex wedding, which by the way the hotel does a lot of LGBTQ+ weddings, while we were there at least 3 took place. Wedding review: The wedding was over 100 people, it was also bi-cultural, I'm Colombian and he's from the USA. We needed the staff to be bilingual and for travel to be smooth for the families and friends from both countries. The wedding was a success, our wedding coordinator Ximena handled everything perfectly, even with last minute changes. We truly had a dreamed wedding where we felt special and loved by our guests and very supported by the staff. Additionally, everyone of our guests commented on how great the service and food was during their stay. Staying at the hotel: The hotel was at 80% - 100% occupancy rate (depending on the day), however the hotel is so big you do not feel like it's crowded. The hotel is gigantic, the food options are ample and the service is one of the best ones I've ever experienced. The staff is not only friendly, they really show they care about making your stay the best it can be, from the restaurant to cleaning staff, they are all wonderful. Highly highly recommend this place for events or just a vacation. It's paradise.
