Hotel Review: Cocobay Resort, Antigua We recently stayed at Cocobay Resort and had a wonderful time. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a warm welcome and a refreshing rum punch, which set the tone for a relaxing vacation. Although our room was a bit far from the main area, which was challenging due to my husband’s bad ankle, the staff assured us they would do their best to move us closer. They were incredibly accommodating, which we truly appreciated. During our stay, we had some concerns regarding food allergies, but Ebony, Janine, and Melissa went above and beyond to ensure our issues were resolved quickly and efficiently. Their kindness and attention to detail made a huge difference, and we are very grateful for their efforts. We also want to give a special mention to Derrick, Lisa, and Saskia, who made the best cocktails and drinks we’ve ever had. Their creativity and skill behind the bar were outstanding. From the restaurant, Katilin and Marlon were always there to ensure we were well taken care of and had everything we needed. And let’s not forget Tuff ie.Chris , who made the most delicious omelettes to start our day! The resort itself is very quiet, which was perfect for us as we were looking for a peaceful getaway. However, the entertainment options were limited, and the bar shuts at 10:30 PM, so those looking for late-night activities may be disappointed. As for the rooms, they were comfortable but could benefit from some upgrades and a fresh coat of paint to brighten them up a bit. Overall, Cocobay Resort is a lovely, friendly hotel with great food and an excellent, attentive staff. While there are a few areas for improvement, we had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend it to others looking for a quiet, relaxing retreat in Antigua.

we had an amazing experience- peaceful and relaxing. you could be as active or as laidback as you preferred. our room was upgraded to a room with walk out pool and garden view- we had a gorgeous view of sunset and there is still water views from the room we staid in (monserrat 2) it was extremely private and quiet which was perfect for the intent of our stay which was to relax as much as possible! the staff were all excellent and would go above and beyond to make our stay as wonderful as possible. 10/10 would recommend!

We stayed in a wonderful cottage with spectacular views across the bay. Our shower even had doors that opened out to the bay - a new showering experience for us. The hotel sits on a small headland with one infinity pool providing views towards Jolly Beach and the other towards Fyfes Beach. Spectacular sunsets guaranteed! The infinity pools are great places to relax with a cocktail, and the beaches are surprisingly quiet - one afternoon there were fewer than 10 people in the sea at Fyfes Beach Staff genuinely are brilliant, from bartenders to reception to restaurant. The food is first class – imagine going to a relaxed classy restaurant with really well-presented food. Then imagine a covered terraced area on different levels open to the elements with the sound of tree frogs in the background. It doesn’t get much better than this! The Hobiecat, paddle boards and kayak are a great way of exploring the bays. We stayed five nights all-inclusive and came away completely relaxed. The staff really helped us have a special time.

We stayed 5 nights and were sad to leave. We had a lovely place overlooking the sea which was just perfect. Everything about the resort was special and very relaxing. Wether on the beach or by one of the two infinity pools with stunning views over the turquoise sea. The food was excellent too, with different menus every lunchtimes and evening meals. The staff were all so friendly too. Definitely a very much recommended place to stay in Antigua.

Stayed for 10 nights at the end of October for our 40th anniversary. The staff are all fabulous and are very receptive to any requests, ie different cocktails (off list) and different sides to go with main courses. Most of the cocktails I found too sweet, even a margarita, eventually found a lime daiquiri that I quite liked. Room was comfortable and the bed was great, we had an issue with a missing safe key and had to change rooms once we had already unpacked which was a bit of a pain. Was a bit confused as they said they were moving us to a deluxe room but that’s what we had booked! Reason we thought average to good rather than very good to excellent is because a lot of the areas need a bit of tender loving care, the cushions on the sun beds are well worn, beds on the beach have no cushions and the seating in the evenings also lack cushions, we’d prefer a bit more comfort. Mainly stayed by the top pool as the lower pool had a dreadful drain smell which really needed to be sorted out. Husband had to get up very early to go to save a couple of sunbeds at the top pool. They really like to get you to up purchase extras, we didn’t take them up on these, didn’t feel they were worth the extra cost. Nice enough time there but nothing to blow us away. Flies awful better to dine in the top level, not so bad there.

My husband and I returned to Cocobay Resort, and it was just as wonderful as the first time we went. It truly restored my soul!

We just returned from our visit to Cocobay Resort, and it was absolutely fabulous. The views are stunning, the cottages are charming and relaxing - a great way to really unwind and enjoy the holidays. Last, and perhaps most important of all, the Cocobay team is full of smiles and is truly accommodating.

My stay at Cocobay Resort was the best vacation I've had in the last five years. This resort is peaceful, relaxing and beautiful, with flowering bushes and trees on the hillside. The staff is always friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. It does not have the constant bustle of activities and noise of the large resorts, so it was the perfect place to rest and be quiet for a few days. The view from my cottage was stunning. If you want to rest your mind, body and soul, this is the resort.
