Cocobay Resort

Lovely, tranquil typical Caribbean hotel. Staff fantastic and so attentive. Rooms “rustic” so don’t expect Dubai levels of amenities and when it rains (which it does) power will sometimes go off… Pool areas good and top pool quieter than lower pool where most of organised house events go on. But to get a sunbed on top pool we found you had to get up at crack of dawn unfortunately. Wish hotel had a better policy as some days beds had towels and a book on them all day and not used! Why not remove them at lunchtime as staff could see they weren’t being used fairly, Food is a la carte from menu for all meals and no buffet which is good in one way but when you stay for three weeks and menu repeats every week you crave got a bit of variety, we ended up having snacks from lower pool bar several days and skipping dinner. Drinks varied and good but service as Dinner opening came around understandable slow. Evening entertainment is ok but overall most couples retreated to rooms after dinner. We walked to both local beaches during day time but I wouldn’t do it at night as there’s no lighting or real road and it just felt like you should be a little wary. Been to Antigua four times now and have sampled a variety of accommodation, id probably stay here again but there again….

This was our second trip to Cocobay and it was even better than last year! This is such a beautiful place, so relaxed, always happy. On arrival, the reception has had a rethink- no-one behind the desk anymore, instead you get a personal welcome and then taken outside for your welcome drink- a much nicer way of greeting you than before- good idea! They upgraded our room too- thank you again. The staff are all just lovely, so cheerful, and always greet you with a smile. I don't remember all their names, but thank you to the bar staff who mixed us lovely Mojitos! A special shout out to Jermaine in the restaurant- always efficient, always cheerful and welcoming. The irrepressible Mr Gore- what can you say? Always ready for a chat and amusing one liners :-) The food was absolutely delicious, the lunch and dinner menus were better than last year as well, and they were good then! Our 8 night stay went too quick. We will be back!

We went to Cocobay for New Year December 2024. What an amazing stay. Such a peaceful resort. Staff were fantastic and no request was too much. Rooms were great, loved the idea of no TV, just allows you to switch off and disconnect. There are a multiple pool areas and the beach so you don’t feel like there is just the same place every day. My husband and I cannot say enough about how beautiful Cocobay resort is. We also would like to express our sincerest gratitude to the beautiful staff who make us feel like a family each time we come. The food is amazing and each meal had a wonderful taste sensation of its own. The ice cream and sorbet and Keylime pie and chocolate lava cake were our favorite desserts, the fresh fruit and granola and eggs at breakfast are delicious and the evening meals leave you feeling so grateful for the people who put together such a wonderful taste sensation. We especially like to shout out to topaz, Jermaine, Marlon, and Kathleen and all the other staff who go above and beyond to make us feel like family the pictures alone cannot contain how beautiful the water and the beach are shout out to everyone at Cocobay.

Beautiful, amazing place. This was our first time at an all-inclusive resort and we were nervous about the food. The food was outstanding. Everyday, every meal. The staff is so warm and welcoming. The resort is calm and peaceful, but also happy and chatty in the evening by the bar with the live music. Only one small negative: We are an active couple and we were not impressed with the fitness studio. You really can’t have more than 3 or 4 people in there at a time. We did enjoy swimming in the sea which became our morning exercise after we were inspired by another group doing this. It only takes about 15 mins to swim across to another beach and the water was pretty calm and comfortable. Overall we loved it! The beauty is indescribable. The pools and grounds are lovely. The staff is attentive and awesome. Activities we enjoyed were the sunset sail through Cocobay, nature walk with the Medicine Man, a special private dinner and a couples massage. Aldo be sure to go to Shirley Heights! Fun and lively with all kinds of travelers and locals having a blast. Book this resort and enjoy!
