This was the perfect resort experience for a couple to enjoy. Our beautiful 5th floor oceanfront room was well laid out and always kept clean and well supplied. The bath towels and housecoats were unusually plush, particularly compared to other resorts where we have stayed. Our shower had excellent water pressure and lots of hot water. The morning housekeeping and turndown services were done at the times we had requested during our initial check-in. We also followed the advice of a previous reviewer of this resort and booked our dinner reservations for the whole week in advance when we checked in so that we could get our preferred times. The food here was excellent, especially at the breakfast buffet, the lunchtime poolside taco station, and most outstandingly at the special seafood tasting dinner at Dos Mares which is offered only twice a week so must be reserved well in advance. We enjoyed a couple of dinners at the Italian restaurant Pergola and also had a lovely Asian meal at Sakke. We were able to eat all of our meals outside at each location although the evenings can get cool, so we recommend that you bring a sweater or jacket to sit outdoors at night. We prefer quiet areas during the daytime while we relax on a poolside chaise and quickly discovered that the quietest place to do so is at end of the infinity pool where there are waterfall spouts. Although this resort had the usual suspects who ran out and reserved chaises with their towels early in the morning before they actually needed or used them, we were okay with this because we prefer shade and those early birds always wanted chaises in the full sun. So, it worked out! The resort staff were uniformly very welcoming and helpful, often going out of their way to make our experience a happy one. Although this is an all-inclusive resort, we still offer tips to people who have gone the extra mile to help us and especially leave a daily tip for the hardworking housekeeping staff. This feels like an appropriate tangible acknowledgement and is simply respectful of what they are doing. A couple of notes: The beach can be somewhat difficult to walk along because the sand is a bit gritty and it’s on a steep slant down to the water’s edge. It’s also not safe to swim in the ocean right in front of the resort because of the strong undercurrent and unexpected big waves that can occasionally occur. It is possible to walk 15 minutes further north to the Hilton beach where we have been told that it is safter to swim, although we did not do this. However, the pools at Marquis are well maintained and a pleasure to swim in. The other note to pass along is that Marquis is right on the edge of a busy highway, so traffic noise can be heard whenever you’re in your room. Over the first couple of days, this eventually became simply background White Noise to us, especially at night. The best thing is that we never heard traffic noise whenever we were on the oceanside of the property since the large resort building itself served as a perfect sound buffer. We will definitely return to Marquis the next time we travel to Los Cabos. It was the best holiday that we’ve ever had in Mexico! Staff Acknowledgements: Lobby: Concierge Grace, Eduardo front desk. Marco who oversees all of the food operations and seemed to be everywhere! Vista Ballenas: Isabel, Enrique, Christian, Glenda, Hostesses Adriana and Rosy. Pergola: Hostesses Heidi at lunchtime and Araceli at dinner; Leidy at the lunch taco stand; Efron waiter. Sakke: Waiter Francisco. Poolside service: Maricruz who always had a big smile for us.

Excellent service, excellent food, we lost count of the whales swimming by us at the resort and the live music makes the evenings enjoyable. A great place if you’re looking for relaxation and deserve to be pampered. The employees are genuine, hard working and gracious to all. We recommend tipping your wait staff so they know they are helping you forget your responsibilities back home.

Incredibly beautiful hotel with awesome and very attentive hotel staff! We had a 7 course dinner at the Canto del Mar restaurant and maître d' Eric, assistant server Juan, and the Head Chef, all gave us a wonderful culinary experience with different wines from all over the world. We will return! Bravo to Marquis and their wonderful staff! Larry & Caroline

We just returned from Marquis Los Cabos and out of 5 all-inclusive holiday trips to various parts of Mexico it was by far the best. Special thanks to Esme, Monte and the activity team for adding so much fun to our visit. We loved all the infinity pools that stretch the entire length of the property, the best food & wine we've experienced so far and a very nice vibe here. The staff in all areas were fantastic. A special thanks to Glenda who served us at Vista Ballenas. This all-inclusive experience was the only one I've felt that I would like to repeat!

Excellent experience at Marquis. resort was intimate, really close to water, pools were very nice and all overlooked the sand/water. Service was very responsive, cocktails were delicious, high end liquor included (tequila drinker they had 1800 anejo and Don Julio repesado), food very fresh and flavorful. Room service breakfasts were a treat, very delicious Tip, make sure you make dinner reservations before arriving.
