It was wonderful, some staff were friendly others went out of their way but great .We had a WONDERUL you know what’s WONDERFUL pool attendant her name was KRISTA she made sure we didn’t have to lift a finger for anything literally!!!!! And Eddie was the best the pool attendant, he made us laugh even though we were tired from eating and drinking , the ladies at the breakfast buffet restaurant were really great I didn’t remember their names but one was dark skin with glasses and a short Indian women also the tall guy don’t remember if it was locs . The lady in the pizza place was excellent the dark skinned one and she has the birth mark or scar on her nose the other one light skin ignored us to the max as if we were trespassing. Sushi everyone who was working tonight was amazing ! And everyone in the pub !!!!! Front desk was lovely !!! I can’t complain a good place to unwind and relax apart from the girl at pizza don everything was wonderful , will be back !!! Friendly staff EXCEPT FOR THE LIGHT SKIN WAITRESS AT PIZZA DON !

Another outstanding stay

We're blessed to go to Sandals quite often. We always go back and forth on our favorite property, but this trip put the Grande St. Lucian back in the running again (along with Grenada and Saint Vincent). I'll break it up into sections for ease of reading. STAFF: First, the real highlight was the employees at the resort. Out of 10 butler teams we've had at 7 different Sandals resorts so far, this team of Shanne, Sabie, and Clynns was the best ever. To be fair, except for one not-so-great experience, the butlers are always good. But these ladies went above and beyond. When we submit our preference sheet online, we are used to the butlers maybe reading it and maybe not. This crew not only read it before we arrived, they had arranged every single detail they could in advance, from the special liquor we asked for to the feather-free pillows, with all the feathers removed before we even got to the room. They brought all our favorite snacks and made beautiful room decorations. Plus, they were just fun to hang out with. I would suggest you request them (but not when we go back, because I want them available for us!). Another special mention goes to our housekeeper Tamara. She is a sweet woman who worked really hard for us and showed that she genuinely cares about her guests. BEACH: This is the reason to go to this resort in our minds. The beach is just gorgeous. Even with a nearly full resort, it never felt crowded. (Yes, for some reason, everyone hangs out at the pool.) Even without our butler-reserved chairs, there were still plenty of good ones available. The water is clear and quite calm. The snorkeling around the piers was better than I expected in terms of marine life. Tip: bring your own snorkeling gear or buy it in the gift shop...the resort doesn't loan theirs out unless you're on an organized trip. That's just a general Sandals rule. Also, unlike some Sandals resorts, the beach waiters came by frequently for drinks. They really hustled, too. I wish I'd gotten their names to give them a shout-out but since we had our butler cooler, we never really met them. There are a few beach vendors who get a little annoying but they can't come up onto Sandals property, so just stay behind the fence and you won't have to deal with them. ROOM: We stayed in a rondoval with a private pool and hot tub (the non-beachfront ones; category RP). It was very nice. And very standard Sandals rondoval. It's showing its age a little and lacks a few of the touches that newer builds tend to have. For example, the shower is quite large but only has one shower head. Also, the air conditioning had trouble keeping up and literally ran non-stop. But it was clean and well-furnished, making for a comfortable retreat. We slept great in the bed. The room itself isn't the reason to get it -- the back patio is. Yes, the pool is kind of small. But it's fairly private and a great place to hang out when you want to get away from everyone else and focus on your partner. The hot tub was the perfect temperature and, after asking to have the timer for the jets adjusted to our schedule, was great. The rondovals exist on both sides of the resort and I much prefer the side that is near the over-the-water bungalows. It's much quieter there. Same for the beach. FOOD: Except perhaps for the new Sandals 2.0 properties, if you've been to one set of restaurants, then you've been to them all. So all of my normal Sandals feedback applies here. Breakfast gets repetitive and the service is often lackluster. There are enough lunch options to keep things more interesting, plus our butlers got us some stuff that wasn't on any menus. Dinners are at least good and the service tends to be much better. A couple of favorite dishes were the lasagna at Toscanini's and the penne alla arrabbiata at Gordon's. Hands-down, the best meal was at the VIP luncheon, which is for Sandals Select members in the Diamond tier and above. There were only a few couples, so not only did we get to hang out with the GM and Loyalty staff, we had the chefs preparing ten plates instead of 200. They showed that they really can cook incredibly well when relieved from the pressure of high volumes. ENTERTAINMENT: We weren't really there for the entertainment, but a couple of the shows were good. Primarily the country singer. It isn't even my favorite genre of music, but he was excellent. The fire and water show is a Grande St. Lucian classic and you should definitely check it out. (But don't make the mistake of getting seats on the beach side of the pool; sit on the building side.) The beach party was a real blast as well, but come prepared to participate. TRANSPORTATION: I can't comment on the ride from the airport to the resort since we've never done it because so many people complain about the roads and getting carsick. We usually helicopter, but this trip we took a speedboat on arrival. It was a great choice and goes directly to the pier at the resort. Then security escorts you up to the lobby to check in. Super easy and the fastest option. You do get a bit wet, though, so we helicoptered back to avoid sitting in the airport in damp clothes. If you can fit it into your budget, either one is s great way to go. Overall, this is a resort with something for everyone. I can't see anyone being unhappy here.

NOT WORTH THE PRICE TAG

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

To truly understand our stay at Sandals Grande St. Lucian, one must look at it as a tale of two entirely different worlds. On one hand, the island of St. Lucia itself is an absolute masterpiece. The breathtaking scenery, the vibrant local culture, our excursions, and the electrifying rhythm of the Friday night street party in Gros Islet were nothing short of spectacular. Even within the resort’s perimeter, the beach was flawless, the views were cinematic, and the culinary offerings genuinely impressed us; most notably at The Bombay Club, where both the food and the exceptional service were absolutely A1 from start to finish. Yet, these brilliant highlights cannot salvage a poorly executed plot. As guests in a Club Honeymoon Premium Suite, we quickly realized that the Sandals brand is an overhyped illusion that simply fails to justify its staggering price tag. We have frequented other luxury all-inclusives, most notably Secrets & Breathless Resort, where the cost was significantly lower, yet the experience was profoundly superior. It is wildly apparent that corporate leadership has lost touch with the standard of modern competition, and for us, this will be both our first and our absolute last stay with the brand. The disillusionment began the moment we crossed the threshold of our room. For a premium honeymoon suite, the space felt cramped, devoid of the romance one expects, and noticeably outdated. There was no welcoming warmth, nor was there a private hot jacuzzi on the balcony, which has been a standard staple at nearly every other comparable resort we have visited. Far worse, however, was the housekeeping, or lack thereof. Upon our arrival, the top layer of our bed sheets was visibly soiled with remnants of mascara and what appeared to be some sort of food sauce. Unacceptable as that was for check-in, the true insult was that despite daily "service," those exact same stained sheets remained on our bed for the entirety of our five-day stay. To add to the disappointment, we discovered that the "inclusions" here are heavily conditional. You are forced to pay for Butler-level luxury just to receive 24/7 room service, an amenity that rival resorts freely bestow upon all their guests as a basic hospitality standard. The service across the resort fluctuated wildly, lacking any sense of cohesive training. While a few members of the staff were genuinely hospitable, far too many others carried an air of resentment, moving through their shifts with an angry demeanor that made us feel like an inconvenience. This systemic indifference peaked during an afternoon at the Jerk Shack. My fiancée and I were seated and had our drink orders taken, only to be promptly abandoned to the passage of time. For twenty agonizing minutes, we watched as three separate tables arrived after us, ordered, and received their entire meals while we sat completely ignored. Ultimately, I had to flag down a server from a neighboring restaurant. She was incredibly sweet, apologizing profusely for her colleagues' neglect, and rescued our lunch, but the sour taste of the encounter remained. Even our ventures off-resort under the Sandals banner felt slightly predatory. We paid the resort for a five-minute transfer to the Gros Islet street party for peace of mind, only to have our driver point out a specific restroom and claim it cost a dollar to use. We chalked it up to local entrepreneurship. However, when we returned to that same restroom later in the evening, a man attempted to extort six dollars each from us for the privilege. It is a cynical calculation, knowing people are drinking, enjoying the night, and will inevitably need a restroom, and Sandals should heavily vet the traps they guide their paying guests into. We easily found free facilities nearby, but the blatant attempt to rip us off left a lingering bitterness. If there was a single chapter of pure perfection during our stay, it was found exclusively at the spa. Our couples massage was nothing short of divine, a masterclass in relaxation delivered by two phenomenally talented masseuses, Wanda and Cynthia. Their sixty-minute treatment was, without hyperbole, the absolute best massage either of us has ever received in our lives. They possessed a gift that the rest of the resort desperately lacked. Ultimately, a great massage, top-tier Indian dining, and a beautiful beach cannot compensate for a profound lack of soul. What truly finalized our verdict was the absolute death of entertainment on this property. The resort felt utterly devoid of energy, culminating each day when they abruptly turned off the music by the main pool at five o'clock in the afternoon. There were no engaging evening options, no vibrant atmosphere, and nothing to justify the premium we paid. For an experience that bills itself as the pinnacle of Caribbean luxury, Sandals Grande St. Lucian proved to be a beautifully wrapped, incredibly expensive package containing very little substance inside.

OUTSTANDING WEDDING TRIP!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

My husband and I got married here in November 2025 and there aren’t enough words to write in a review to describe what an amazing experience we had! We still reminisce every day and talk about how we are desperate to do it all again! Pre wedding the telephone planner we had Terrian was helpful but once on resort Monica was an absolute shining star! We feel so lucky that she was our wedding planner and our go to person on site to handle everything with regards to our big day! From the moment we met Monica she was reassuring, organised and covered every small detail that hadn’t even crossed our minds. The day could not have been more perfect and we honestly thank Monica for that, not only was she fantastic for our wedding day but she is truly a wonderful person inside and out! We cannot thank her enough for making our day flawless! We were travelling as a party of 13 from the UK and all our friends and family loved their holiday at the Grande! There was an amazing mixture of fun activities, romantic spots, party atmosphere or quiet relaxing time too! Our party varied in ages and this resort really caters to anyone’s preferences. We stayed in room 4117 which was absolutely perfect, our room was classed as the most ‘basic’ on resort but you couldn’t fault it, immaculate every day & beautifully renovated. The staff here are absolutely fantastic, so welcoming friendly and honestly after our 10th day we were so sad to say our goodbyes. The food was very good throughout however definitely of a much higher standard at the restaurants that require a reservation so definitely book those when you arrive! We used all the water sports facilities, you can also book a jet ski externally to Sandals if you wish. The grounds are gorgeous here and we loved wandering all the different paths each evening! This resort has something for everyone and if you are getting married here then what a wonderful place to do so! We loved it so much we have booked to go to Grenada for our honeymoon! PS..the ferry from the airport is also fantastic would highly recommend!
