El Dorado Maroma

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Maroma. We never felt overcrowded or as though we had to fight through crowds. Beach beds, chairs, etc were abundant everyday. The food… amazing and well worth the trip alone. Every plate was tasty and filling. Light snacks were abundantly available too. Our only issues came with consistency in service. At times it was clear communication between staff from our butler to cleaning staff, etc. wasn’t as strong or clear as it could be. The activities and entertainment were well done and fun. We booked here for a short 4 day vacation. Wow! We are sure glad we did! The staff is awesome and the food and drinks were great too. It is a great resort for couples to get away and have a great time! We only regret we could not have stayed longer!! We can not wait to go back!

My husband and I loved our stay at El Dorado Maroma. The beach is beautifully maintained and I've never before felt such soft, velvety sand. Staff are out on the beach, cleaning up seaweed and plowing the sand everyday before the sun comes up (I wake up early and enjoyed watching this process on more than one occasion). Staff are extremely friendly and ALWAYS make a point of greeting guests in passing. The grounds and facilities are well-maintained and the landscaping, orchid garden, mural, fountains, and pools are beautiful. This is a smaller resort and the experience felt much more relaxing than other resorts we've visited - very laid-back, safe, and comfortable. The activities staff were great - painting ceramic pots and sun hats, salsa lessons and the guacamole-making contests were my favorite. Special thanks to Kevin, Marco, Gus, Alex, Chris, and Osuaklo for the entertainment and enthusiasm. Evening entertainment included a Mexican fiesta night with authentic food and dancers, a country music night, and a night of entertainment by fire dancers on the beach. The food is terrific - we loved meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) at Papitos best. On the beach, Armando always made sure we had comfortable lounge chairs and the perfect amount of sun and/or shade. But, our absolute favorite times were our evenings spent with bartender-extraordinaire Carlos, and fellow guests, at the Beach Bar Papitos. Carlos made sure that we all had a great time, conversation, and a tasty drink (or one of a variety of shots) in-hand. We'll be back, for sure!!!

I was at El Dorado Maroma over the holidays in Dec 2024 and it was amazing. From the food, beaches, live music, amenities and staff we had the best time. Using the kayaks and the more inclusive activities was great. All the staff were lovely and attentive. The entertainment and beach team especially Oswaldo, Marco, Kevin and Gustavo were great. The decorations and events for Christmas Day and NYE were so fun. Definitely hope to go back.

Our experience at El Dorado Maroma was beyond amazing. The rooms, food, resort atmosphere & staff made it a stay we will never forget. The beach view and beach was breathtaking. The daily activities and nightly entertainment was wonderful. Marco, Gustavo & Alex made Aqua Fit at the main pool fun everyday. Kevin planned the best night entertainment. The Mexican Fiesta on Thursday night was amazing. The bartenders Leo & Diego were great. Carlos the waiter made the experience fun. They knew us by name by the 2nd day. Great resort! We will be back!
