Overall we had a great experience. Also, Shanice and Omar made our first Sandals Butler experience one to remember and the standard by which all others to be judged! My only suggestion to Sandals is to offer the photos that are taken throughout the stay to be available via their website or app. We never got a chance to review them and will never know what they look like or if we would want to order.

We spent 37 days this trip at South Coast and it was full of wonderful days and great staff. My husband has allot of dietary restrictions and mobility issues so it’s always a challenge when we travel to find a safe comfortable place to relax and South Coast delivers 100%. Each restaurant has multiple options that are safe as well the chefs are extremely open to working with you to create a fabulous dining experience. Executive chef Ricardo would seek us out along with Chef Winston to see how they could make our meals over the top and special. Pastry chef Alicia even made special batches of cookies delivered to us in the evening for our room so my husband had a little something to take with his pills, she even ensured dairy free, gluten free ice cream at the cafe for him to enjoy whenever he wanted. The feeling of walking into any of their restaurants and knowing you won’t get sick is complete freedom and such a luxury. Also if you have the chance for chef Shakira to cook for you, do it and wear stretchy clothes because she can cook, she adds so much love and care into her food and it shows. When it comes to servers in the restaurants and cafe, it’s amazing how you can walk in and they remember not only your name but what your favourites are, Melica, Moesha and Nicolas at Giuseppe’s remembered not only our meals but where we like to sit from our last trip in September of 2024, Rose and Suzel at Neptune’s would always make our meals beyond perfect, they were timely, very polite along with perfect presentation. Moya and Tavia, at the cafe would make my husband each morning his special coffee drink, remembering the recipe without me saying a word, they would just take his cup and start making it, Shanique would always find his special ice cream each evening. Unfortunately my husband had a small medical issue where he had to visit onsite nurse and doctor whom I might add is an orthopaedic surgeon which was perfect to deal with all my husband’s medical issues, not only were they extremely knowledgeable and kind but their bedside manner was top notch, they came to our room as my husband couldn’t physically make it down to the nurse station. This little gesture of coming to us helped not only physically but allowed dignity. We used our Costco Manulife travel insurance which was the first time ever, once documents were submitted we had our funds in our account in only 9 days! definitely recommend and will purchase again. The doctor and nurse prescribed medications and injections which did the trick. The whole resort is very easy to get around mobility wise with a wheelchair as well. Our room was always attended too (Long beach swim up LSUP) each morning, Rochelle was so efficient and friendly, on her off days we would have Andine who was also great, I have to mention one day a dropped my jewelry box and Andine found a old good hoop earring that bounced. The earring itself wasn’t worth anything except sentimental value as my husband gave it to me 27 years ago. She put it in a spot where she knew I’d find it, both ladies were absolute joys to be around. Our room each day was topped with waters and pop by Tyrese who would go out of his way to make sure we had all we needed. We had a standing order for breakfast each morning, Barry, Faith Ann and Sabrina were always great, I’d answer the door in my housecoat, wild hair and no makeup, they never blinked an eye or cracked a smirk ( I would smirk at myself some days) Instead they were polite, efficient and kind! The food was always hot, safe and tasty. Being in a swim up room the water sport fellows would work hard to keep the water clean and enjoyable, Othneil, Romell and Chad (along with others) always would take time out of their day to make us smile, share a laugh and genuinely try to make our day special. As we floated in the swim up over the days, past used butler’s and buttler’s we only chatted with over the years would often stop and check on us, this was out of the goodness of their hearts as they were all very busy, we’d share a giggle or a joke, talk about their lives and just enjoy a minute out of their day. They have excellent leadership, Ricardo himself is just a gem of a gentleman who truly cares. All of the mangers are fantastic, this stems from the top down, GM O’Brian and HM Alicia have to be the most sincere people, over the years I didn’t care if I spoke to any manager in any department, nor did they care to talk with me and I was completely fine with that. But these two lovely people have changed that perception, they truly have a desire to know you, remember your name and over the years become very cherished friends. I can’t emphasize how much these two people have changed this resort for the better and made it our second home. Because of their leadership it has trickled down to the other managers which has allowed them the ability to shine, even new managers such as Richard, Michael and manager in training Justin have completely blossomed which then again trickles down to all the staff, this approach to management by these two people is holistic, happy efficient management equals happy efficient managers which makes happy efficient workers who make happy guests. So simple, yet so many places get it wrong, not here.

Andre and the team were amazing. My wife and I completed our certifications with Andre. The team was continuously professional while keeping a happy fun attitude. To top it off, this was our anniversary and we can’t think of a better way to have spent it.

I would like to start with the positive .. it was mostly positive. The resort is beautiful and the service was for the most part excellent. The only low point was this AWFUL woman working at the taco truck I ordered, I sat down at a table and waited and waited and waited. After what seemed to be half an hour a nice young woman called my name and brought our order. I could forgive the wait, however, not 10 min later this tall skinny very rude woman stomps up to us and ( with a condescending look) demanded to know " where we went" I am not sure if this cow got hell for not doing her job or what but she was just a rude witch. I complained and the manager of the resort did apologize but she still had a job when we left. She is clearly not suited for public facing roles. Also the buffet is cold and just awful... . We wont be back.

One week before our anniversary we decided to take a trip and we have always enjoyed our Sandals trips. We talked with Holly, a rep on the Sandals website, and she found us a vacation within our budget. The drive from the airport is a little lengthy, ( about 1 hr and 15 mins), but we had a good driver and a comfortable, air conditioned vehicle. On arrival to the resort we had no more than stepped out of the vehicle than we were met with an employee with cool towels for our face. The check in process was quick, another employee drove us in a golf cart to our room. Our luggage was already in our room. The resort covers 50 acres and is beautifully manicured and there are peacocks on the grounds. Our room was clean, pretty, comfortable, and well stocked with beverages. Our balcony looked out over the pool, beach and the ocean, all of which were beautiful. Each building has its own pool and swim up pool bar. Although we did not eat at each restaurant, the ones we did try were delicious. We were especially fond of Giuseppe’s and the breakfast at Bayside. And of course we ate our fair share of cookies from Cafe de Paris and french fries from Chicken Dippers. Although it was quite a walk from our building to the area where most of the restaurants are located, the grounds are flat and the walking is easy and a good way to get exercise. There was nothing about this vacation that we would complain about except we wished there were a few more pool floats. On departure, we paid the extra money for the Club Mobay experience at the airport, which got us through the airport quicker and provided us with a comfortable place to lounge with meals and drinks provided. It was worth the $70. All in all our anniversary was made all the more special because we spent it at Sandals. We have already booked for next years anniversary at another Sandals resort.
