Zoetry Curacao Resort & Spa

I wish we listened to the reviews! It was my worst trip experience! Hotel sucks smell horrible! Food was not great! They take forever to come and take orders! Beach at the dreams was small! And they ran out of towels!! I will never go back to Curacao! Left a bad taste! Went there for my birthday celebration! Don’t do it!

This is a 5* hotel with everything you really need. Local food, luxury room (even the budget one), excellent room-cleaning staff and friendly employees (especially at the bars). It is very cosy and free from noise or crowds but you can still use the bigger, more regular-traveler-oriented Dreams Resort (across the street, can travel also by golf cart) for free as a Zoetry guest. Not that you need it apart from casino, night shows & maybe sunset spot. It has a climactic, shallow pool (4fts max) with floating mattresses, bar and restaurant nearby. Why 4/5 then? Well, as a European I think it would rather meet strong 4* standard (though without doubt) here on the continent. Rooms are dark. The team behind is obviously helpful but lives by their routine. Which means sometimes there is no particular meal available even if promised in the menu (why don't you cross it out or inform in the first place?) or the restaurant starts/finishes serving food 30 minutes later/earlier than the app says. If you quickly get to Carribean vibe - that's normal and nothing. But if you stay and pet your inner grumpy European little longer or just want to use the day to the fullest with your rental car - that can be a minor problem. Still, easily to recommend. Probably hard to find better on the island if you are not a millionaire. Hopefully, get back one day. Thank you for your service. Best of all to Kiki, Jason and Nela. They are certainly ready for 5-star adventure. ;)

Well, we checked in with hostess, then went to our room. We waited at least an hour before we went to lobby to find out where our luggage went. We were told that our luggage had gone to the wrong room, although we were the only ones who had checked in around 530p Finally, we went to pool. There were no beach towels, despite signage next to pool. No staff to address this. Went to dinner at 730p which was nice, but food portions were smaller than expected. We ordered room service at 938pm as instructed by hostess earlier. Website says expect 45-60minutes. We called lobby at 1130pm to find out what happened. They told us we should have called after an hour to check, however they seemed aware of our order. My husband went down to lobby at 1150p to be told they would be bringing food to us when it was prepared. Its now midnight. Unfortunately, this is our first night here. Our experiences have thus been poor. Service terrible.

The island is beautiful. There is no direct beach access, but many of the room are against a busy road. If you want to relax to the sounds of NYC, then this is the place for you...just not us. The food was meh, and mostly overcooked. Lack of beach towels, long wait times for food with only one place to eat, no access to snacks without a car....It was so bad we tried to get into Sandals. This is not a relaxing hotel and we've loved the collection in other areas.

I'm mixed on my review for Zoetry. I loved the relaxing vibe of the resort. However, I couldn't say service along with food and beverage service was very good. It was just average if not worse. The little nuisances of a small resort like this should be in tact. There are only 2 restaurants and service was slow at times with cold food. I also was told they had no washcloths at one point. Staff was nice overall and the manager Lily did speak with me abouts concerns to be of assistance. However, you know long lasting treatment when you receive it. I would give them about a 3.5 and definitely try another Zoetry. Weirdly enough with such tranquil vibes the bright shining light entering the room through the door of the hallway as we slept was a distraction for me because I like a completely dark room. You also have access to Dreams as a 2 for 1, but just okay there as well. Worth a try but as many locals advised us... stay elsewhere in this area and take in local culture as opposed to all inclusive. Though I like the best of both.
