Azura Benguerra Island

We went with 13 adult kids ,brothers and friends to celebrate our 30th anniversary and vow renewal. It was unbelievable!! My husband kept on saying “This is world class” incessantly! The staff, the place, the service, the food!! All off the charts. Well Done

We were a bit dissapointed with the room, we were refused the same rate as the other people in our group were charged, and had expected a better room (or at least a similar room) given the higher rate charged. Instead we were put in a lesser rooom, very far from our group.

Incredible hospitality! From the minute we landed in the helicopter, we were welcomed to Paradise! Pristine beaches, completely private villas. We stayed in the Villa Amizade, equipped with all that we needed, which makes it difficult to leave the villa! The personalized hospitality is amazing. Highlights were the Peri Peri Club, seafood braai at your table as well as the daily sunset cocktails at our villa. Incredible being out at sea spotting dugongs, dolphins, turtles etc. Well done to the team this is indeed a piece of paradise that must be protected.

Azura is by far the most amazing place I have ever visited. There is something very special about Benguerra Island and the experience will live with me forever. The staff are the most brilliant and professional staff I have ever experienced and the food is amazing, delicious and just the right amount, they. have got it absolutely perfectly right. The service is superior to anywhere else I have been, the staff go above and beyond and are happy to share their beautiful paradise with you. The accommodation is very comfortable and cosy and feels very much like a home on the beach. it is impossible to describe the feeling of peace and tranquility that being at Azura gives you, its something you have to go and see and feel for yourself. I have visited many places including Barbados, Antigua and Mauritius and nothing comes close to Benguerra Island and can honestly say that Azura is special and is the most amazing place I have ever visited and words cant really describe it highly enough. Its a truely magical place that is an absolute must to visit.

This December my wife and I enjoyed a fabulous 10 day holiday at Azura located on the small and pristine island of Benguerra. (A mere fifteen minute helicopter hop from Vilanculos airport on the mainland.) The wonderful management and staff at this select destination are super friendly (without being in your face) and catered to our every whim. Nothing was too much trouble. Our private and roomy villa (situated right on the beach) was immaculately furnished and included its own infinity pool. The restaurant offered a wide choice of the most delicious food on a menu that changed daily. There is a wide variety of activities available to suit every taste. We have stayed on a number of islands off the coast of Mozambique but Azura ranks as the best and lives up to its description as a “luxury hideaway”. It’s exquisite. We will return.
