Phulay Bay, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve

Our family had an amazing time here. We booked a 6 day/5 night stay. Service was impeccable and the staff was so welcoming. Very kid-friendly resort. My children had a great time with Pam at the Kid's Club and couldn't wait to see her everyday. She took them to the beach to pick up seashells and made kites with them. The Indian chef at the breakfast was also very kind. One of the best vacations our family have ever been on, and we cannot wait to visit again!

This hotel complex is amazing. Our villa was the best hotel accommodation we have stayed in. We have stayed in a few 5 Star hotels around the world but this the best one. Our 12 day stay was made even better my our butler Habib, who could not do enough for us? He was so helpful and attentive nothing was too much trouble for him. Also the beach bar staff, swimming pool staff and restaurant staff were ALL so helpful and attentive. We couldn’t recommend this hotel highly enough.

I honestly don’t have all the words needed to detail our time at this incomprehensibly beautiful resort or the magical staff that make you feel like you’re in a dream. But suffice it to say this was one of our favorite spots on this magnificent planet. Every detail at Phulay Bay is jaw dropping! And the entrance, oh my gosh, that incredible entrance!!! I don’t want to spoil it but it’ll move you to tears. The grounds are designed and maintained as though they’ve been delicately carved out of the forest and mountains that surround. It is the least obtrusive design I’ve ever seen and it’s obvious they wanted it to feel as though you are living in harmony with, not on top of, the glorious surroundings and the many animals that reside there. It was pure magic to have a monitor lizard swim by at breakfast and carefully climb a waterfall or to watch the cranes hunt in streams just a few feet from our room. And speaking of rooms, if you have the ability to stay in the Royal Villa then don’t miss it! The villa and its grounds are jaw dropping! Truly out of a fantasy! I mean we swam everyday in our own full size swimming pool overlooking the Andaman Sea and its extraordinary limestone kearsts. We hade private gardens with an outdoor bathtub, outdoor shower, outdoor meditation room and adjacent to the pool a large covered outdoor bed and dining room. And inside, just beyond description! A 10ft wood bed, two bathroom/closet spaces so couples don’t have to share. Not to mention the hand carved, solid wood doors and trim. It’s a masterpiece! And for the most important part, the staff! My gosh I truly miss them already. Our personal butler, Fah, moved me to tears with her kind gestures more than once. Fah is an incredibly special human being who touched my heart and made our time at Phulay Bay unforgettable. And M at breakfast, I don’t even know how to thank you for your warmth and genuine spirit - you are amazing. The entire staff were deserving of being thanked, they are the ones that wrap you in kindness, laughter and calm. The Thai people are lovely, and there is no better example than those that work at Phulay Bay! The restaurants were something special also. Breakfast is so over the top it’s extraordinary! And lunch at Jampoon and Plai Fah was absolutely fantastic! Sri Trang is world class! Truly. Our only “disappointment”, and I actually hate typing this, was the restaurant they seem to be the most proud of because of its Michelin starred chef, Lae Lay. In the US it would have been considered an average meal at a slightly higher end restaurant. The dishes were either unimaginative or downright bland. The setting, however, is gorgeous! And this appears to be the only restaurant that allows people from off the resort so be prepared to spend a good deal of money to sit next to crying babies and guys dressed in rash guards, board shirts and a ball caps. They should absolutely enforce a dress code as this is their flagship fine dining restaurant. But that is truly my only challenge with our entire stay. The spa was magnificent, the technicians were miracle workers - we went every single day. Just wonderful! In short, this resort is a must if visiting southern Thailand and offers a world class experience

Located around 2h drive from Phuket international airport , this reserve is located in the national park , surrounded by all sorts of flora and animals ( we have seen grand lizards , fishes , birds and butterflies of all sorts ). The service was impeccable : from the morning you wake up to go to breakfast to the time you close eyes - everyone is extremely helpful and respectful , but not in your face pushy . The territory is extremely clean and looked after . We enjoyed the peace and tranquility that this particular ritz reserved has got to offer - area is huge and spread , so even though there were other guests - everyone had plenty of personal space . 3 restaurants on site , with one chef overseeing it all and quality is amazing throughout . Hotel offers free boat rides to the phi phi island with tickets costing 10$ per person , when the same ride outside costing around 100$ per person. Special mention goes to our butler Jake who went above and beyond to ensure our all queries were all met from room service to restaurant recommendations - Jake is an absolute asset to the hotel. Most definitely recommending this reserve to anyone who is looking to relax fully and experience Thai culture and cuisine , without stereotypical assumptions of Thailand.

Our stay at Ritz Carlton Reserve Phulay Bay was nothing short of magical! From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in luxury and impeccable service that made our 40th wedding anniversary truly unforgettable. We stayed in the stunning Beachfront Villa #6, which was a dream. The spacious room featured beautiful design details, like lotus-shaped twin sinks, a Toto toilet with heated seat, and a gorgeous soaking tub. The villa’s private plunge pool with views of the sea added an extra layer of tranquility. The thoughtful layout, including two generous closets, made it as functional as it was glamorous. The main pool was absolutely breathtaking—enormous, probably 50 meters at its widest point, and surrounded by comfortable and plentiful sun beds. The pool’s grandeur and proximity to the sea more than made up for the limited beach area, which was a small sandy spot near the water. The service was nothing short of exceptional. Our butler, Anna, provided 24-hour assistance and seamlessly managed all of our reservations and needs. Every member of the staff we encountered was warm, attentive, and eager to make our stay perfect. The dining experiences were phenomenal. The international breakfast buffet offered an incredible spread, complemented by a full à la carte menu. The resort’s three restaurants—Thai, seafood, and international—served dishes that were as exquisite as the surroundings. As we were celebrating a special occasion, the resort went above and beyond with lovely anniversary touches that made us feel so cherished. Phulay Bay is truly an oasis of elegance, tranquility, and unparalleled service. Despite the lack of a traditional beach, the resort’s other features far outweighed this minor detail. We can’t recommend it highly enough for those seeking a luxurious and memorable getaway.
