5 * service but bad room§
Very nice hotel, but we paid USD 850 incl. Breakfast for 1 night for a room Garden view of 45m2. this is way too much considering: - That the room was much smaler after deducting coridor space and an oversized bathroom without any further amenities (lavabo was for 1 pers only and just 1 shower and 1 toilet) - Floor of bathroom is not heated and was very, very cold - no drawers for clothes and only one chair at a table used for working on laptop. Nowhere space for clothes of 2 persons. - it was low season, mid November and no special event in Lausanne I was in Lausanne at a 4* very close of the Beau-Rivage for business in Oct. and paid 1/4 of this price for a much more comfortable room of about the same size, quite and with garden view. All people were very nice an service/food was excellent at Beau Rivage. But again, can not understand we got such a bad room.

Amazing!
Stunning hotel. Lovely area and convenient to take metro to Lausanne and points all over via Swiss rail. Best breakfast we’ve ever had. Wonderful staff. We can’t wait to return.

Sometimes luxury can feel stiff and unapproachable, but this place has mastered the art of being both sophisticated and wonderfully comfortable.
