Royal Westmoreland

Our second visit to Royal Westmoreland, although we have been to the west coast of Barbados many times. We had a fabulous villa located a couple of minutes walk from the Sanctuary cafe and gym, and a ten minute walk to the fabulous Rum Shak, where the staff are friendly, the food is excellent and the atmosphere is very relaxed. Comfortable beds throughout the villa, which was well equipped and had a wonderful housekeeper. Guests can walk the golf course before play starts in the morning, and it is stunning. Looking forward to returning!

The house we rented here was fine The problem was the facilities for us as a family with a 3 year old The FAMILY pool , was a lovely pool spoilt by some nasty people sitting around it , one particular women was rude , asking us to not use the pool with out little one as she wanted to swim without a child in the pool ( this pool is huge , plenty of room for both !!! She was just a nasty lady , said my little grandaughter was too loud ( she's 3 !!, and she wasn't loud ) ....she also said many other horrible things to my daughter about her parenting, just so rude x Then another man , on our last day also spoilt it by asking us to keep her quite in a very unpolite way while he read his book !! Let me explain we are NOT a rowdy family , in fact ther were many lovely people around that pool who came over to say nice things to us all as they had heard the conversations between thease nasty people !! And us , Remember its a family pool ,it has a children's pool , honestly awful, Also the area around the pool was odd , ypu couldn't get a nice lunch , if you wanted to get a lunch it was all get dressed and trop over to the clubhouse ! Missing a trick ther ! We've been to barbados many times i love it , and remember this I'll feeling was not caused by anything bajan , it was 2 horrible English people who clearly didn't like children , I suggest they either go to an adults only resort or sit in ther villa reading a book !!! Well be back to barbados, but never back to royal west mooreland! ...if your considering rental ther with a child I'd suggest sugar hill , just down the road , a beautiful place with fabulous staff and great facilities,

Perfect gated community to spend time with family. Ideal place to go with large groups. Lots of vacation rentals to choose from. Pickle ball, Paddle and tennis are all on the property and even though it was high season we never had to wait for a court. We were told reservations for court use is encouraged but we had no problems walking on - open all night. Unfortunately we did not play golf, driving range also requires a gold membership which our airbnb did not have. But check out the sunset view from the clubhouse. The communal pool was nice - smallish and did not feel heated. There was a hot tub also not very hot. There is a shuttle to the beach club that is included, this will give you access to a beach lounge and towel. Make sure to bring you cards which will be provided to you upon check in. There is a restaurant on site called Rum Shack open till late serving lunch and dinner. Small bites available at the pool and clubhouse. Overall a nice gated community

We attended this resort as a family of all and stay in a beautiful villa with Sunset views, swimming pool, state of the art kitchen, four bedrooms, four ensuite bathrooms, offstreet parking, access to all of the kitchen utensils, towels, washing machine and dryer make it a wonderful villa holiday. The staff who supported us from Services included Me Christopher Pitt. He was there when we needed him when we had any queries and if we had any problems. We lived it there and we are keen to go back at some stage in the future. The views both of the golf course, of the sea were spectacular from that elevation. The Community was friendly. The main swimming pool and gymnasium were in good order, the clubhouse was very nice and the food seemed delicious although we did not eat there. We had a few games of golf on the stunning course. The staff in the golf shop were very professional. The clothing and other merchandise on sale was of tiptop quality. The buggy staff were also very helpful as the main gate and golf course security. We felt very safe from the time we entered this resort and very content with all that we experienced while we were there.

Stayed in a one bedroom apartment in the Royal villas area. Lovely apartment, and setting. Booked another available one in same block for the next year. The pool area great, although would benefit from some toilets and a few more beds in the busy period. The views from the balcony were great. The security staff were very friendly, not so much the staff at the main pool, but stayed around our own pool for the most part. A car highly recommended, although there is a shuttle bus which we did not use. There is access to the Mullins beach bar and beds, but due to the undercurrents at the time, we only got to use the beach beds once. The restaurant was nice, and food good, although a highly unprofessional argument occurred right by our table with the kitchen and bar staff, we found it quite entertaining, but not really want you want when spending top dollar.
