The K Club

My review probably won’t add much to the many other reviews posted on here. We had planned to stay at the K Club later in the month, but had the opportunity to pre-empt that and have 1 night at the K Club. The grounds are very impressive, the building itself is stunning and the staff are incredibly professional and attentive. What makes the K Club 5* is the attention to detail: staff noticing that you’ve finished your drink and even knowing what it was; bed turndown at night; politeness and remembering your name – those are the things that set it apart from other hotels. The variety of trees around the 550 acres is impressive and the River Liffey adds to the lovely scenery. No fishing this time, but I will return to fish the river in due course. It looked very, “fishable”. We were not there for the golf, but the influence is everywhere. Grounds were very well maintained and it obvious that a lot of tree surgery work is ongoing as some are coming towards the end of their lives. Our room was a deluxe and the bed was firm, which was perfect for us and 8ft wide. The coffee machine was great and a selection of teas. The marble floored bathroom was so spacious and the bath was great. Impressive bathroom. We ate in the main restaurant and the food was extremely good: we had the venison and it was so tender and easy to cut. Vegetables were nicely cooked and honeyed. I had a lovely ganache dessert and it was sublime. Breakfast was relaxed, staff were attentive and we did not over-indulge. I’d have no issue recommending the K Club and we will be back.

Hotel was so cold rooms cold asked to have it addressed never happened food not up to 5 star very disappointed function room so cold we had to put on coats no snow outside just rain but cold and well forecasted totally not up to 5 star food was cold and extremely sparce portions tiny .

Fantastic stay! roomy bathrooms and bedrooms at a fabulous hotel. Wonderful gardens, an excellent selection of dining options, and stunning Christmas décor throughout the property. All of the staff were incredibly helpful and professional. Tony and his front-of-house staff deserve special recognition. From the moment we arrived they made us feel extremely welcome, and they were always available to help with any needs we had. Great value for our money and we will return.

Fabulous hotel and experience. The staff especially Tony the guest manager could not have been nicer. A free taxi service around the estate to the pavilion restaurant and to the pub in the village was provided. We will definitely be back. The food and service in the pavilion and breakfast was top notch.

Have stayed here a number of times in the last year and experienced great hospitality from all members of staff, big shout to Tony for looking after us so well! We were always greeted with a big smile and a friendly approach. Nothing was too much to ask for. Goes above and beyond to make sure your enjoying your stay.
