This hotel is well-placed for those attending the nearby conference centre. The rooms are large and have good views. They also have a reasonable gym, which is open 24 hours. However, the breakfast is overpriced at $40 per head, andthere are some reasonable spots nearby.

We often go on a weekend for the buffet breakfast at the Riverside Restaurant. Today we went on a weekday but it was not the same. You pay $40 per head and the cashier had to use a calculator to work out the $40 x 4 =$160.00. This is not good. The table was under the window and the air-conditioning was so cold it was unpleasant. There was no cream for the pancakes and we were told there wouldn't be any provided. A blow fly was landing on the fresh peaches because they were bruised and 'on the turn'. A limited amount of some items are provided and run out quickly. The restaurant is open from 6.30am - 10.30am. My friend asked for a coffee at a couple of minutes after ten to be told at ten the coffee machine is turned off so no coffee for her. They start cleaning away at just after 10am so your last half hour is spent looking at clean-up time. I was so disappointed because this was a gift to my friends. Sorry but this is our last time now.

The Intercontinental in Adelaide is undeniably old and very much in need of a renovation. That said, it remains my preferred hotel when staying in Adelaide. If you’re visiting the city, I highly recommend booking a room at the Intercontinental with Club access. Despite the aging decor, the Club Lounge in Adelaide ranks in my global top five. The IC clubs in Sydney, Perth, and Auckland are also among my top five. The lounge manager, Daniel; barman Jasper; and the chefs behind the scenes are simply extraordinary. I’ve stayed at the Oriental in Bangkok—once hailed as the best hotel in the world—and I can say, the Club Lounge at the IC Adelaide is of a similar calibre. Just wow.

This hotel has quality service, cleanliness, and comfortability all in one. The concierge is very helpful and friendly from the moment you arrive. The lobby is grand and beautiful. The rooms are spacious with great views over Adelaide. I really liked the desk and couch. The bed is very comfortable. Rooms are totally quiet for a good night's sleep. The bathroom is opulent with a separate shower and bath, a large sink, and plenty of room for makeup bags, etc. I dined at the restaurant and the food and seevice was 5 star. The gym and shower area is large and well equipped. The location is perfect, steps away from the train station, Rundle Mall, The Adelaide Oval, and Conventikn Centre. Overall, I would definitely stay again and recommend singles, couples, and business trips.

Great location and good service. We stayed here for a conference in September 2024. Staff were particularly friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was really good and definitely recommended to include in your stay. Rooms were a bit dated and carpet might need replacing.
