Superb views of The Taj Mahal

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Every room has a view of the Taj Mahal, which is just 600m away. The hotel run a shuttle bus to The Taj Mahal and will help you purchase tickets. The sunset dinner on the balcony is well worth a try. There are beautiful gardens, there are 2 restaurants with a wide menu. The rooms are beautifully decorated and spacious and have everything you could want. The welcome is spectacular and a beautiful gift on your departure

Simply superb

The hotel was superb. Service, both at reception, in the room and restaurants was immaculate. The real gem of our stay was Sandeep, the storyteller. He is the perfect guide: well educated, including in the Mughal period, and, as a bonus, is an excellent photographer. He knew instinctively where to go to get the best photo and his suggestion to visit the baby Taj where we could more easily see the marriage of Hindu and Islamic art forms was amazing.

What a fantastic view

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

Everything about the Oberoi hotel in Agra is excellent. With the highest quality of environment, food, and staff that is an Oberoi hallmark in addition this hotel has what must be one of the greatest views from a room balcony anywhere in the world. We enjoyed every moment of our stay.

Best hotel and best guide in Agra

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

Oberoi was excellent and the view was nothing short of spectacular! We had a guide for the Taj Mahal that was affiliated with Oberoi named Muzammil. He was great! Very knowledgeable, his English had no accent so we were able to understand him, and he takes the time to take photos for us, and his photos are very very nice! I would highly recommend him if you are planning to do a tour of the Taj Mahal as well as other parts of Agra. Also, oberoi would be the only place I would stay at in Agra. Service, location, amenities, food were all spectacular!!

The best in town - a bit pricey, tho

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

For sure the best in town, impeccable property, awesome staff and surely among the best we’ve ever had globally (traveled 60+ countries). Food was very good, setting a bit noisy and especially during breakfast hours a bit hectic. Location is 12/10 and great facilities, too. Only downside in my opinion is the price tag considering you’re getting a 1600 sqft overwater villa on the Maldives in a top notch property for the same nightly rate. Rooms could be bigger but definitely do the job as you would normally spend a few days here. Don’t get me wrong, everything was almost perfect but 1400$/night is a high bar.
