Sofitel Golfe d'Ajaccio Thalassa Sea & Spa

I would like to share my experience of staying at the hotel. I really liked the hotel's grounds, attentive staff and comfortable rooms. But I have to give a lower rating, as I did not receive attention to my request about the management of the hotel. We arrived at the hotel on November 11, we could not be checked into the hotel because there was no light and we were offered accommodation at the Hotel Campo Dell'Oro 4*. The next day we moved to the Sofitel Hotel and enjoyed our vacation. However, I did not receive a response to my request for a recalculation of the cost of arrival and a refund. I have repeatedly sent an appeal to the office. I understand the technical issues that may arise at the hotel, but I paid the amount for staying at a 5* hotel, not 4*

Avoid this run down overpriced hotel. Premium sea view room was in poor condition: sink was cracked, a/c is old and did not properly cool the room, and phone in bedroom did not work, Dinner at the restaurant was overpriced and sub par. A filet of St Pierre consisted of 3 tiny strips of fish trimmings (not a whole filet) and was priced at €38. Sofitel really needs to pay more attention to quality control. They sure messed up here.

Hotel was isolated. Away from all the great tourist spots. Rooms were on the older side, needs renovation. Food was subpar. Won’t be staying, not considered 5 star at all. Maybe 2 star at most. Don’t recommend at all.
