Reviews for Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay

A blast in Bahrain

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

First of all our apologies for the delay in our review! It has been an incredibly busy few months! From the moment we arrived at this beautiful resort, we were looked after to the highest degree. After mentioning to the staff at Desroches in August that we were heading to Bahrain, we have been blown away by the hospitality shown by the brand. It's heart-warming to know that even without a formal loyalty program, loyalty means a lot here. Wherever our budget allows, we will always choose Four Seasons above anywhere else. Upon our arrival in Bahrain, we were warmly greeted by Islam, the front office manager, who personally welcomed us at the front door. He informed us that our room wasn’t ready yet but that we had been upgraded—what a wonderful surprise, especially since we were celebrating my birthday! Gabor checked us in, and he truly is a delight! Nothing was too much trouble for him, and it was wonderful to chat with him about his native Egypt. Sharm El Sheikh is definitely on our list for the next trip! A special shoutout goes to Ahmed as well, who always stopped by to chat about his family and cars. He even settled a bet between my husband and a friend about which car they had overheard at the pool! While waiting for our room, Islam found us a comfortable spot to sit and ensured we had tea and coffee to keep us refreshed. It's these little touches that truly define why Four Seasons is the pinnacle of excellence for us. When we were shown to our room, it was gorgeous—stunning views over the bay, a luxurious bed, an Illy coffee machine, and every amenity you can think of. Anything we needed was sorted with almost immediate effect. Our room attendant, Awal, did a phenomenal job ensuring our room was immaculate; he even lined up my makeup brushes! He truly is a star. During our stay, there was a conference for the Gulf region, yet the team at Bahrain Bay went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay, checking in daily. Aside from observing the construction of an impressive building and needing to enter through the CUT entrance one evening, we were undisturbed. They even let us take the LWB BMW to the restaurant for lunch since the heightened security prevented taxis from getting through. One night, we dined at CUT. While the restaurant was high-end and the staff courteous, it didn’t quite meet our expectations. After sharing our disappointment on Instagram, Chef Brian personally reached out, inviting us to the Asian restaurant so he could show us just how good Four Seasons food can be—and boy, did he deliver! (See my Re/Asian review). It was massively reassuring that he checked into our feedback and saw that we were reasonable food fans and not over critical nutcases and agreed that several things had been unacceptable. Mistakes happen in every industry, but it’s how you deal with them that sets places apart. Most evenings, we enjoyed a nightcap at the Blue Moon Lounge, which is a gorgeous space with stunning views and delightful cocktails! On our first night, we got a bit lost looking for it, and Bekhir (I hope I’m spelling that right!) kindly escorted us. He truly is a charming breath of fresh air! We intended to return on our last night to say goodbye but missed the opening hours due to attending WEC; thank you for taking such good care of us! Also, a special thanks to Michelle and Crystal for their delightful conversation and fabulous recommendations! We just wish it was open every night and perhaps a little later. As with most Four Seasons resorts, the standout component at Bahrain Bay is the staff! Everyone, from servers to management, greeted us warmly, and we even received heartfelt birthday cards from the team at Desroches and the GM and his team at Bahrain Bay. With multiple cakes, I truly felt like a princess. The resort is breath-taking, boasting multiple pools, a beach, a spa, and fantastic restaurants. The lobby is one of the most impressive I’ve seen—absolutely stunning. Our first day was spent by the main pool, where we were looked after by Alaya (sorry for the spelling!). His attentiveness and friendly demeanour added to the experience. Another morning, we relaxed at the Azure pool—a lovely oasis in the middle of this bustling city—where Emmanuel and Ally took great care of us. This was probably our favourite location on the property overall. We also enjoyed time on the beach with Steven and Naveed, all exceptional team members dedicated to ensuring a perfect stay. As with all Four Seasons resorts, sun cream is provided, and here we had Factor 50, which was essential given the UV levels. The only suggestions for improvement I can think of are: 1: Beach Bags in the Room: These were a thoughtful gift in Bora Bora and are great for advertising when out and about, not to mention a wonderful memento of a special stay. I still cherish mine from six years ago! It also means there’s no reason to take a leather tote or valuable bag to the pool and potentially ruin it. 2: Bubble Bath/Bath Salts: for the gorgeous bath, it really was no issue using shower gel but we needed another one sending up as they are fixed to the wall! 3: Mugs for the room, the cups are quite small - I usually have a bucket of coffee in the morning 😂 4. We were asked a lot for our room number whilst walking around the property to check we were guests which was strange. I’m not sure if this is normal but made us feel a little like imposters and is not something we’ve experienced before. These small areas for improvement are just suggestions as I know 4S strive for perfection and although missing for us in NO way hindered our enjoyment. Thank you for an absolutely wonderful stay and we will definitely be back!

Afternoon tea in the Bay View Lounge

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

This is a tough one to rate because the setting and location are both fantastic but the afternoon tea could be improved. The staff were very attentive and friendly although we waited a long time for our food and drinks to arrive. I think the food is more about the aesthetic than the actually quality. There were no sandwiches just savoury pastries like a meat eclair which looked like a chocolate eclair, a profiterole covered with a white cream and topped with a raspberry which actually contained a prawn filling. The scones were delicious although there were three types of jam and only a tiny amount of cream (we asked for more) Nothing for vegetarians and when we asked were told they could only do this if ordered in advance. Because of this I ordered a burrito which was lovely. It was a great experience but they do need to research what an authentic afternoon tea is. We walked around the hotel grounds after and it is absolutely stunning!

Amazing Stay at Four Seasons

My stay at the Four Seasons was fantastic! The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making me feel special from the moment I arrived. The room was spotless, cozy, and had everything I needed. Dining was a treat—every meal was fresh and delicious. The spa was so relaxing, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was peaceful and luxurious.

One of the most iconic hotels…in the world 🌍!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Is there a better hotel in Lorraine? I don’t think so! Start with what might be a top 10 most iconic hotel building in the world! Does your hotel have a beach on the Persian golf and yet 2km from the World Trade Center? Mine does! but amazing views are just a start! Service so incredibly friendly and helpful! On the way in, we got the incomparable and ultimate hospitable, Islam Fikry, front office manager! Kudos to him and his staff as on the way out we got another gem in Mohammed Hasan. The chief valet/Bellman was so friendly; wish we had more time to get to know you, Hasan Khadam! Stephen (pictured) by the pool/beach, was always smiling! His presence made you happy! Wi-Fi strong. Shower pressure strong. Jacuzzi outdoor, awesome! Sound insulation, excellent! Grounds terrific. Truly, I’ve been to many four seasons around the world, and this was one of the best! My only regret? Not having enough time here!
