Hotel is great! Great facilities, rooms, restaurants! Whatever we needed was fulfilled immediately by staff. Night event was spectacular. Staff always there for any detail, any minimum of details. We'll be back with my family soon. Love Hacienda Santos

We just returned from a fabulous 4-day stay at the Hacienda. We had heard so much about historic Alamos and the Hacienda de los Santos and had seen pictures, but they just don’t do justice to our amazing relaxing experience. We enjoyed walking around the beautiful gardens and courtyards with pools, fountains, flowers and colonial style furniture and details everywhere you look. We loved our room with a very comfortable bed and most important it was very quiet. The staff are warm and gracious, and we enjoyed talking to them and learning that they feel like family. The meals were superb, and their Cantina has over 750 bottles of Tequila! It’s an experience like no other.

We traveled in early December to Alamos and stayed three nights at the Hacienda. We could not have been happier with our stay there. This is old-time Mexico that has been lovingly restored and furnished. The grounds are beautiful and open for wandering and exploring. The pools were unfortunately not heated so we did not give them a try. The trees, flowers, and vegetation give the grounds a very quiet, soothing and relaxing feel. Definitely take a tour of the whole facility if you can. We ate at both the Cantina and Santiago's. The food and service was always good, and the filet at Santiago's was so nicely done I had it twice. The tequila bar is truly impressive for the number of varieties they have. Breakfast included was good, and they never ran out of beer. We had mixed luck with restaurants around town, mostly due to their open hrs not matching our timing. Our San Agustin room was in the 'Spa' area, which is nicely secluded. The room was very comfortable, shower head was awesome, and the A/C worked well. The bed was cushy with a very nice comforter, but it is not an extra firm bed if that's what you like. The staff obviously enjoy working there and took good care of us. Very friendly, and they knew more than enough English to make up for our very limited Spanish. The location is just a couple blocks from the main plaza, and the whole town is easily walkable from the resort. The 357 stairs to the lookout above town are worth climbing for the view, but they are a challenge. We also hiked up in the mountains a bit - the trails are extensive but confusing for first-timers. We both had a massage at the spa, and my wife said it was one of the best she's ever had, and she's hard to impress. I had a deep tissue that was great, but of course it was not quite as soothing. Our group spent many hours hanging on the patio near the cantina just enjoying the view and grounds. It's a VERY relaxing environment to enjoy. We will definitely be coming back again.

Since 2010 we come at least twice a year to this beautiful place. Called as one of the best and most beautiful hotels in Latin America we confirm that. All suites are very unique and individual designed and decorated with antiques from all over Mexico. One nicer then the other. It’s an oasis in this colonial town. The Hacienda has three different patios, all with a own pool. You can hardly get enough of all the details of cared decoration, plants and flowers etc. A visit to the Zapata Bar before dinner is a must. The variety of Tequilas is worth an entry in the Guiness Book of Records. A romantic dinner in the Restaurant Santiago will leave you an unforgettable experience. The whole staff is very friendly and courteous. Once you experienced the Hotel Hacienda de los Santos you will wish to come back.

Our Happy Place! The Hacienda was the perfect place to celebrate our 48th Anniversary! We’ve been numerous times & always can’t wait to go back . It’s a place that stays in your mind and heart. The Swickard family have created not only a fabulous hotel but a feeling & ambience we’ve experienced nowhere else. Everywhere you look is beautiful Spanish architecture , award-winning gardens & an art collection worthy of a museum. We’re grateful for their outstanding staff who make you feel like part of the family and we do! Each room is beautifully appointed, luxurious & serene. We had delicious meals and enjoyed meeting other guests. The Chef is outstanding & the food presentations were art works. The precious Chapel offered a quiet place to “recharge our batteries “. We’re already thinking about our next trip .
