In Old Town Alexandria, we relish our dual identity. We're talking history at every turn—against a storybook backdrop of 18th and 19th century architecture, plus an exciting cutting-edge energy along an emerging line-up of welcoming venues.

Terrible experience- be aware! This hotel was a disappointment to say the least. Toilet seat in my room was peeling all on the surface looked terrible and very uncomfortable. Switched room came back on day 2 to pile of smelly dirty wet rags on my nightstand!! Also a mess in the bathroom while i was out for few hours was told facilities went to the wrong room to fix an issue! Still no explanation why it was left unfinished??!! The food was below average Just not at all what you would expect from Marriott

Everything about our stay was wonderful. It was comfortable, clean, and the staff was so very pleasant. Thank you for the wonderful time! The historic district is fun to stay. Lots of music, good restaurants, safe, with twinkly lights lighting up the trees…feels magical!

As always, my stay was wonderful. Alexandria is my hometown, and this is the place I always stay when I come back. I was given a complimentary upgrade, which made my stay all the more pleasant. The desk attendants were superb. I had a lovely chat with Bella, and she always greeted me when I came by. I'm impressed that she remembered my name of all the guests! Also, I decided to extend my stay for another day, and Beza H. made that extremely easy. She was most gracious. And Mustafa, whom I remember from previous visits (and he remembered me!!) was, as always, wonderfully helpful and friendly. A few years back, the desk had a couple of rather rude attendants (whom I wrote about). Thankfully, they are gone Another improvement is that the hotel sent me a text when my room was ready. (Again, a few years ago, they failed to do this more than once.) I was so happy to once again have people like Bella, Beza H., and Mustafa, who clearly care about their guests and exceed any expectations in showing that. I look forward to my next stay!

My stay at this hotel was made better by Zemiah, who worked at the front desk. She was very helpful, courteous, and hospitable. I would return because of meeting her. I also met and engaged with other staff members (whose names I don't have, unfortunately). They were professional and helpful.

The hotel had pros and cons. Pros - the decor of the lobby and the room, great location right in the middle of Old Town, the room was spacious, beautiful bathroom. Cons - the room smelled horrible - very musty. There was definitely mildew or mold. This needs to addressed for health reasons. Also, a high resort fee. If it weren’t for the musty room, would stay there again.
