As a city that has long embraced a nomadic nature, Almaty is both a traditional and natural hideaway. The Ritz-Carlton, Almaty is one of the premier luxury hotels to serve those drawn to this cultural, design and business center of Kazakhstan. Experience the same graciousness as you alight from the sky elevator that transports you to the 30th floor lobby and receive a warm welcome, steeped in authenticity.

Oh, the Ritz Carlton Almaty—where global standards take a holiday! My husband, two friends, and I checked in on August 9, 2024, and let me tell you, it was a true "luxury" experience from start to finish. Check-in? A breeze! The staff was professional and efficient—kudos to them for nailing the basics. We even received a welcome note and a bottle of local wine in our suite. How special! (Though, as a Platinum member of Marriott Bonvoy, it's a standart.) But then the fun began. In the connecting room, the air conditioning decided it was on strike, and the bathroom floor felt like a sauna. Just what you need in the sweltering heat of Almaty in August—nothing like a hot floor to make you feel at home! We called for an engineer, who came, inspected, and apparently decided it was better to leave us in our personal heatwave. Thanks for the memories! The next morning, after a very restful night spent sweating, we ventured to breakfast. What a delight! Stale food that could have doubled as a historical artifact. I've stayed in countless five-star hotels, but this was a first—no one replacing that. Truly groundbreaking! And the staff seemed to cater to the regulars and Russian speakers, leaving us feeling like we had stumbled into a private club. Checkout was ok but Marriott Bonvoy points matter was the cherry on top of this delightful sundae. Mr. Ruslan Belalov, the Front Desk Supervisor, was a shining example of customer service—or, rather, the complete lack thereof. Our Marriott Bonvoy points were missing, and while Ms. Gulzada Turgankul was a beacon of hope, her referral to Mr. Belalov led to radio silence after one email. Bravo! The only shining star in this fiasco was Yekaterina Abdulkhassanova, who was the true professional in the midst of this chaos. She deserve a medal for cleaning up after Mr. Belalov’s disastrous service. In conclusion, if you’re looking for the Ritz Carlton experience you’ve come to expect, you might want to keep looking. Almaty’s version is a comedy of errors that will leave you both amused and frustrated. Cheers!

Really amazing from start to finish. We arranged transport through the hotel to the airport and it was very smooth. Our room was excellent and we were welcomed with a fresh bowl of fruit in the room! Breakfast was expensive if not included in your room rate but was like nothing I have ever seen. We splurged one day and got it and I have never seen or imagined such variety. We had friends over for drinks one evening at Sky Bar and it was wonderful to see the beautiful mountains. The cocktail menu is unique and they had multiple wines by the glass. Service was really excellent. Everyone was pleasant and professional at all times. Would stay here again if in Almaty without question.

Check-in was excellent. Mr. Alisher was very professional. Reached my room amaneties were a great surprise. The biew was magnificent. Breakfast was super, exective chef Glenn Really did a great job, from presentation to selections to preparation. The first night I tried the pizza, I could easily say it was the best pizza I had for a very long time, the beer selection was amazing. Anna at reception was very instrumental in accomodating my needs, I have to admit I am not an easy guest. The only remark I would share is, as an elite life time titanium guest, the Ritz policy is to charge for the Club Lounge Access, it was a little too much. I would review the policy or the asking price to be reviewed

Very poor reception and check in. The front door people would not let our driver park out front event to unload the bags on arrival. They insisted we park in the basement and unload there. Did not even offer to help. How is this 5 star? As bonvoy ambassador members the hotel doesnt care about you at check in. After the ordeal with the luggage, we finally made it to reception to see everyone being given tea except us. Very very strange way to treat guests. In fairness, the rest of the stay was good. The rooms are good and the breakfast is excellent. They need better training of the front people and reception.

We had one of the most comfortable and caring stay at Ritz Carlton, Almaty. Entire Team of RC were very cooperative as well courteous. They ensured that all our needs were met and in time. Rooms are large and spacious with very good amenities. Besides cleanliness, Housekeeping team ensured redoing of all the clothes as well others personal stuffs in the room.
