Great place, peaceful and awesome hospitality. We were there for a day as a family. The restaurant manager Joshua was of great help and went beyond expectations to ensure our visit is memorable. We truly loved the place and will definitely visit again.

Habitas Alula - Disappointing and Overpriced

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

- Setting and landscape is remarkable - Hardware and aesthetic design features are excellent - However, service is quite lackluster and the property is quite overpriced. - Banyan Tree is the much higher/more-luxurious choice in Alula - Hotel often doesn't pick up the phone, often does not respond to requests, responds to it's whatsapp hotline maybe 20% of the time and almost always very late. Guests are often just forgotten. - Transportation situation is bad; getting around is very difficult, and car service is severely overpriced and disorganized. - Hotel seems overloaded and severely understaffed. - Buggy service often gets forgotten, requests are not tracked or followed up on. - Some staff members are very good; others are not very capable. - In general, service is not refined and not personal. - Feels like a mass market property, as compared to bespoke luxury. - Service is the big hole and needs to be significantly improved. - Hotel is quite expensive and overpriced as compared to overall experience

Great service, amazing staff!

From the moment I was picked up at the airport then to the reception to the housekeeping and the dining area I was astonished on how great the staff was. They made my stay really special and this will be forever a great memory. I commend every staff there. The resort is definitely a fantastic one but the great service made it even more fabulous!

Desert Vibe + Priceless Experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Al Ula itself is an awe-inspiring experience, but staying at an exclusive resort nestled amidst the majestic desert cliffs made it even more spectacular. We visited during the shoulder season, when prices are slightly lower than peak winter time. The resort was relatively quiet, with only a few guests occupying the already exclusive area of Al Ula. The infinity pool offered a relaxing ambiance and breathtaking views of the surrounding cliffs. The food was equally impressive, and the staff was attentive and friendly. Our room had its own private space, which added to the overall luxury of our stay. Although we only spent the night there, it was a special experience because it was one of the places I had been dreaming of visiting for years. My recommendation is to visit during the shoulder season, as the entire area of Al Ula is less crowded. You won’t have to compete with other tourists for the best spots to take photos, especially if you’re a photography enthusiast. Renting a car is also recommended, as the various attractions are spread out over a large area. While taxis are available, it’s more convenient and enjoyable to explore Al Ula on your own. Overall, our stay at Habitas was fantastic, and would definitely return whenever the opportunity arises.

Disappointing - it’s sold its soul to try to be cool

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Having been avidly following the Instagram of here over the last few years, I was so excited to finally come with my husband. The location is stunning and the pool beautiful, but overall it felt like a massive con - hugely overcharging by appealing to people who get excited when “love” is listed as an ingredient in their water. No way is it 5 star - the room is rough and ready, seats stained, there was a very loud STC tower outside our room which was very noisy and service left a lot to be desired (eg housekeeping coming at 9.30pm and banging on our door so woke us up, very lax buggy service and disconnect with reception, slow breakfast service). No TV in room which is fine if you are advertising a cut off from the world but WiFi is fine so it seems contradictory. Small things add up and what I found was I guess what could be described as “inauthentic”. Says it’s eco but you have to drive everywhere to get around, lamb is from ‘New Zealand’, and the collective carbon footprint of all guests getting there must be massive when you’re advertising in America. Saudi Arabia is an amazing country and it’s a shame not more is celebrated about its culture. Positives - food delicious (although why so little Saudi?) and pool as beautiful as the pictures. Also, the massage was amazing even if our energy needed cleansing first. It’s an amazing place with so much potential but somehow misses the mark and we left feeling like we’d been part of a very clever scam.
