Located in the Northwest of Saudi Arabia, Our Habitas AlUla is nestled among an ancient oasis in a desert valley surrounded by spectacular sandstone cliffs and palm groves with pathways leading up to one of 96 guest rooms, reception, a yoga deck, wellness and fitness centers, restaurant and a swimming pool. Every room is made from ethically sourced organic materials that blend seamlessly into the natural surroundings with minimal disruption and a sustainable programming leaving no trace on the environment. Our programming is the backbone for creating magical moments for us. The six programming pillars, which include: wellness, adventure, culture, learning and F&B are authentic collaborations with the local culture and nature. Tama, the restaurant, is a place to come together and experience an immersive culinary journey through time. With farm-to-table practices and sustainable agricultural methods. The food & beverage concept infuses Saudi & Middle Eastern cuisine, using local, fresh ingredients, such as spices once traded along the incense route, bringing Saudi Arabia’s unique flavors to life.

The hotel is beautiful and the activities available make it a really enjoyable stay however there are many areas that were disappointing. Our check in was incredibly vague, we were told our room number and given a key and told where breakfast will be and given a form to sign with no time to read it. No information about the activities and their locations or that we could go to the food trucks at any time for a meal. Our bike had low battery and our villa charger wasn’t working, I asked on 6 seperate occasions for someone to charge the bike for us, we even took it down to reception and asked them to charge it while we were out they said yes and I felt like they understood however that didn’t happen so we had a flat bike for our final day. The only issue we had with the villa was the wear and tare from the shower as the floor is just polished wood not a water resistant material so the polish had worn off. The staff on the buggies, in the restaurant and by the pool were all so lovely and helpful. The staff at reception were hard to find and didn’t really want to help us. Their car service is incredibly overpriced and they don’t provide you with other options so educate yourself - AlUla Taxi is your best bet. There is a website they give you access to during your stay that has a chat section for any of your needs, my messages were ignored on this platform. Communicating with the hotel prior to our stay was near impossible, I had sent messages on WhatsApp after they instructed me to do so after some emails. My WhatsApp messages were ignored for a month to which they then sent me a link to leave a review after our stay. Really disappointing service from the team who do all communications as well as the reception team. Friends have asked if they should go, our response is go and see it as it is beautiful but don’t expect much from the team at reception.

Stayed here recently for the second time. It was not my favorite this time around. The bungalows are showing a lot of age/wear and tear (bathroom floors, furniture, etc.). It probably needs some renovation. Outdoor showers are a nice touch but the water temperature fluctuates too wildly from scalding hot to ice cold when you aren’t even touching the controls. Indoor showers did the same. Showering each day was a gamble. Room had a safe for valuables. Free bottled water and coffee/tea in the room. WiFi was ok. Towels were generally on the fluffier side but they never would leave more than one towel per guest. Although this is the desert, there were sometimes bugs in the room - this is a high end resort that should spray and not have them be an issue. One day housekeeping didn’t even clean or service the room. Service quality is still lacking - this is what separates a luxury resort from a regular one - this resort still needs to work in a more quality and service oriented culture among their staff. It just isn’t up to the level for western tourists expecting a luxury experience all around. Food was nice in their restaurant. They offer Arabic coffee, regular coffee, tea and cookies in the lobby. You can call a cart to pick you up and bring you to other locations at the resort, such as the pool or reception. Iron and ironing board in the room was nice to have. Laundry service is available. Air conditioning in rooms is available. Small desk is available. Rooms have small outdoor seating areas off the back of the bungalow - they are Semi private. Overall it was ok. Not sure I would stay again unless the bungalows were renovated and service quality seemed higher/better.

I want to leave a review because whoever wants to visit or plan their stay should know before doing so. We wanted to gift a stay voucher of Habitas Alula to our cousin as a surprise gift. We emailed the property there was no response (in spite of being a five star hotel and expensive), after reaching out to them on social media i finally got a response where they said marketing team will get back. After follow-ups then got a response asking for details after which no response again and this has been going on 20days!! Such a lousy and bad experience from reservations and marketing team. It is like we had to chase them everytime to even book with them, how do we expect good services or hospitality after paying so much!! I wouldn't recommend this property

Lack of leadership and responsibility. Fake 5 stars hotel. All about Instagram. Problems with property maintenance. Most employees are eager to help but without a professional management team this hotel is far away from a Luxury 5 stars hotel. After spending $2000/nightly rate, trying to have a peaceful afternoon at the pool I just realized that more than 50 outside tourists arrived at the pool for lunch plus pictures paying $65 dollars credit for 2 hours tour experience. Hotel guests feel cheated! After contacting the GM. No reply! For sure he’s not concerned about hotel quality and guest feedback. Shame on you Mr. GM! Just received a survey from Guest Experience which looks made by Artificial Intelligence. No proper reply! Local problems with transportation have been resolved by front desk manager who apologized for any inconvenience. Positive remarks are the unique location and local staff. Saudi people are very friendly, and Alula is a place with rich History. Hopefully will be back to Saudi Arabia but never more to Habitas Alula.

My daughter and I stayed at Our Habitas AlUla for 3 nights and 4 days on our vacation in Saudi Arabia. From check-in to check-out everything was smooth and swift. The location of the property is absolutely stunning, the villas are lovely, the food at the restaurant was great. We also liked their spa and swimming pool. Our wonderful stay at Habitas was enhanced by the welcoming hospitality.
