Seemingly molded into the side of a jagged cliffside is the Grand Hotel Convento di Amalfi – part of the LVX collection of Preferred Hotels & Resorts. Teetering high above the Amalfi Coast, this former 13th-century monastery is now a glorious hotel situated along the Italian seaboard. Impeccably restored to its original splendor, yet not without expected conveniences, the Grand Hotel features just 53 tasteful rooms and suites with a white motif and latte accents. French doors push open revealing Juliet-style balconies encased with ornate iron balustrades and million-dollar seascape views. The hotel's crisp alabaster color scheme is infused with brilliant hues courtesy of blooming bougainvillea, leafy emerald plants and azure reflections from the sea.

Located inside the Anantara Convento di Amalfi, ‘Dei Cappuccini’ Restaurant’s has been an amazing experience from start to finish. ‘La Grande Bellezza’ Menu began with the Bread Ritual and its storytelling about the Prior dividing the bread for the Monks, the Amalfi Paper represented by a crunchy and tasty Carasau Bread, Fennel Tarallucci and a homemade butter with dill and marjoram. Amuse bouches prepared the palate for the real experience: Seared Octopus on a Pumpkin Cream and its Tartare, ‘Nduja, Kefir and a Veil of Lard was the Antipasto, followed by the ASTONISHING Risotto with Basil Pesto, 'Alla pizzaiola' sauce emulsion, Buffalo Kefir and Raw Red Shrimp, that has never been removed from the menu during the entire year and I can imagine the reason why. Cannellone 1924 celebrated the 100th anniversary of this famous dish, which is supposed to be crafted in the Convent and was followed by another REMARKABLE dish which was the Cod cooked in cooking oil with Topinambur, Tapioca Chips and White Butter Sauce. The sweet end was a classic yet super tasty Caprese Cake with Chocolate Crumble and Vanilla Ice Cream accompanied by a local Passito, Diego the sommelier did a great job with the entire Pairing. Special thanks to Chef Claudio and his team represented by Giovanni, Giuseppe, Antonio, Pasquale and Mattia and to Diego that directed a experienced yet young team represented by Harsh, Eugenio and Andrea that made me feel so welcomed. I definetely recommend this restaurant and I am looking forward to coming back.

One of the most amazing hotel experiences. Starting from the gorgeous setting: a former convent, impeccably converted to into a luxury hotel, overlooking Amalfi's harbor and beach. The staff is super friendly and professional. The breakfast offerings were so generous and diverse. There are so many amenities. This place is magical and it matches the highest international standards for hospitality. Our only regret is to have spent only one night. We can't wait to go back and to bring our friends. Amalfi Coast is heaven on earth (especially in October/November).

It was a beautiful hotel, everyone very nice! Very clean very unique. We wanted to ship stuff home the hotel helped us find a box and shipped for us. Beds very comfortable, fitness center very cool and went everyday. Easy to walk to town as well.

We loved this hotel for our honeymoon! The location is perfect, the free breakfast was incredible, the staff was friendly, and the room and pool were amazing. One of the nicest hotels we’ve stayed at. We were sad to leave.
