Discover the Hilton Amsterdam hotel, famous for John Lennon and Yoko Ono's 1969 ‘bed-in for peace' and Hilton's first hotel in the Netherlands. This iconic hotel was famously built on the baseline of Plan Zuid, a district designed by prominent architect Berlage, which highlights the Amsterdam School of architecture and contains boutiques, designer shops and couture houses, in addition to being within walking distance of world-renowned Museum Square.

Really really impressed by all staff members. From check in to Executive lounge (Bruna) and from breakfast (wow!) to check out. Hilton Amsterdam has it all! Great team members, beautiful rooms, lovely location. Just impeccable 🩷. Highly recommended!

Stayed at Hilton for 5 nights. Chose Hilton due to proximity to Amsterdam Marathon start / finish point. Thereafter did the sight seeing. I would give 4.5 rating to Hilton. # Pros: 1. Located within residential area, so its quiet and peaceful. A tram ride to city square (Dam square) takes about 30 mins. 2. I stayed in a King Guest room facing the canal. Suggest to book canal facing rooms for a view. Room was spacious and fittings were in good condition. 3. Breakfast was standard affair. Being vegetarian, the options were limited. Staff was good. Does become busy between 8.30 - 9.30 am. # Cons: 1. Far from airport. Taxi fare was abt 52 €. 2. Likewise, restaurants are at a walking distance of 15-20 mins minimum or you take tram / cab to go to Centraal station street. You can order via Uber Eats as well. # General :- 1. Travel via public transport is easy. No need to buy ticket online . Just tap your credit card/ debit card when entering / exiting the tram etc. You are charged at end of day basis your trips. For inter city travel (Ams to Rotterdam) , buy ticket online via NS train app. 2. No bottled water in the room. Its safe to drink tap water. 3. Do take a walking tour. Gives you a good heads up / idea about the city and its landmarks. 2.

The hotel staff are fabulous. Bruna in the executive lounge is the absolute best. Her hospitality is top notch. She goes out of her way to know the guests and assist in any way possible. Also great location. I would highly recommend the property.

Amazing in every way! And quite the surprise for a hotel built in 1962 , with a rich history and made famous by John Lennon and Yoko Ono in 1969 for their “bed-in”. Brilliantly renovated rooms. My room 911 was wonderful with spectacular views over the canal - and my sleep quality excellent due to a super comfortable bed, dark room when the blinds are drawn and whisper quiet, I couldn’t have asked for more. The bathroom would have to be the best I’ve come across in terms of excellent lighting (plus the floor looks great) - great for putting makeup on. Rooms have wifi ports. A particular shoutout to: * Romina - a delight on front desk:) Such a great person to have on check in - she made me feel so special and was helpful and thoughtful. * Bruna - in the Executive Lounge. The perfect person for the Lounge. She worked the room engaging all tables and offering to get drinks. A delight! * Floris - in the Executive Lounge. Hardworking and efficient. Quiet but extremely helpful - even cutting some fresh lemon for the perfect gin and tonic. * A great buffet breakfast with the perfect hosts on Morgan and Elena. Having stayed at VDV previously, the location of Hilton Amsterdam is brilliant - just a short walk to a range of great restaurants and in a super safe, clean and quiet part of Amsterdam. And buses run regularly from the airport (a 5minute walk from the stop to the hotel). My work colleagues won’t seat anywhere else now after staying at Amsterdam Hilton on Apollolaan. It’s worth the extra for a canal room and use of the Executive Lounge - with a 360 panoramic view from the Executive Lounge on level 10.

Don’t go there, no air condition and so it’s impossible to sleep there. The rooms are not the usual Hilton Standard, I was very, very disappointed. Parking is also way too expensive. It’s like they don’t know that they cannot offer as much as they should for a 5 star hotel.
