It is located by the Amstel canal and offers nice views. Rooms are generous, comfortable and spotless with much attention to the details. The spa is nice and the pool friendly and pretty decent in size. The breakfast is posh and a bit minimalist but very tasty. And the restaurant- lounge at the main floor offers a lavish prospective both indoors and outdoors. Service was always very attentive and sharp.

Wonderfull experience for valentine day. Perfect explanation of what you get and you feel that you are a real customer. Nice view on the canal and all the personel are happy to see you visiting the hotel. For sure we will come btheaack another time and hope that I will be as enthousiastic as yesterday.

Really enjoyed our trip here last weekend, we were upgraded to a Junior suite on the 4th floor (city view (or no view due to the fog!). check in and all staff interaction was really nice, outside of the Lobby we hardly saw anyone all weekend, its an older property but in great condition, the only downside was the lack of USB charging in the room, and poor pressure from the rainshower. we are not breakfast people so enjoyed a coffee and a pastry as a bakery across the road both mornings. We enjoyed a nighcap in the cozy and intimate winter bar, service was great here. We loved the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam., and look forward to returning to the Amstel

We wanted to farewell the year enjoying a relaxed high tea at the Amstel Hotel. They had a ‘festive’ version including five courses with paired teas. The food and the teas were delicious, although the vegetarian version was a bit disappointing. We had a 2h slot and we felt the dishes were served too quickly one after the other, sometimes urging us to finish the food or the tea in a rush so they could serve the next one. That was unpleasant and made the afternoon tea less enjoyable overall.
