Pestana Amsterdam Riverside

Excellent hotel. Friendly staff, lovely big rooms with huge comfy bed. Breakfast was lovely, so many choices, especially for me being gluten and dairy free. Bar was a lively relaxing space with excellent cocktails. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Pestana Tram stop was just round the corner so no problem being a bit further out of the centre

Stayed here with my wife, son and family friend just after new year. The hotel is a lovely building in a nice location with easy walks to trams into town. Very pleasant pool, large enough to actually swim a few lengths, and spa although it was a not quite warm enough in the sauna and steam room. Excellent beds, large rooms and good bathrooms make a lovely hotel. All the staff are friendly but weren't quite the 5 star standard. An excellent 4 star superior but not quite matching 5 stars. We had a couple of issues that weren't dealt with appropriately whilst staying at the hotel (late availability of one room and a good but not excellent breakfast) However, the hotel did offer many apologies and an appropriate aftercare that made me feel that they were bothered. Problems happen but is how they are dealt with that makes the difference. I hope they can improve on the housekeeping/organisation as this seems to be one of the few complaints. If you arrive after 16.00 you will be gaurenteed a pleasant stay! Nice cafe, coffeeshops and restaurants all local to the hotel, not loads like the centre of Amsterdam, but enough.

We have just been at the hotel. The building is very historical and near to the river. The check in took about an hour. The room we found was very clean. As usual not enough light ( energy saving). We will be staying till 31st. Then we may have more to evaluate.

Amazing stay with my family on chistmas holidays. The room is confortable and clean , breakfast with variety, the staff is very friendly. We had a dinner in restaurant and it was fantastic. The location is perfect, away from city crowd and I will back soon!

A gem in Amsterdam. A luxery hotel with charm. A weekend with a good friend to visit the Amsterdam light festival . we had a room with a beautiful view of the Amstel river. The room was clean ( spotless) , and very stylish that corresponds with the authenticity of the history of the building. The room had all the necessities plus more; a very comfortable kingsize bed with a generous amount of pillow that included a pillow menu to offer a pillow that fits your needs, coffee maker, water cooker with various tea choices, fully stocked mini fridge, bathrobe and slippers and the needed toiletries. We didn’t want to leave our room! When we did, we visited the spa. A cute little spa area with the required facilities to give this hotel a 5 star rating. Indoor swimming pool , sauna steam room and fitness area were clean and well equipped with the needed equipment and supplies; big fluffy towels , water cooler, lounge beds to relax and a bowl of apples . The staff were all friendly, Hosein greeted us when we checked in and wondered though the hotel. he offered to send to our room a complimentary glass of champagne as a welcome
