My wife and I had a fantastic stay at the Sofitel Legend The Grand. The location is absolutely perfect—central to everything we wanted to see—but it was the service that truly stood out. The team was attentive, helpful, and offered incredibly warm hospitality throughout our visit. ​I’d like to give special commendations to several team members who made our stay memorable: ​- Mar at reception was excellent. ​- Kai and David at the concierge provided star-quality service. ​- Cecilia made our Afternoon Tea brilliant. ​ Finally, a huge thank you to the massage therapists who treated us on Sunday, November 7th at 1 pm (apologies, we didn't catch their names, but they were excellent).

The hotel is in a fine historic building which would be well worth visiting even if it were not a hotel. The central location, between two historic canals, is excellent. The best thing about it, however, is the staff, who combine efficiency with thoughtfulness and kindness. We will keep coming back for as long as we are able to!

Always a home in Amsterdam

My yearly visit to The Grand and is magical as always. You really set foot in the history here. The staff is extremely friendly and are always willing to go the extra mile. The welcome amenities are so beautiful and are matching the season and always being welcomed with a handwritten note. Guided up to the room by their guest relations team is a treat since they are really getting to know you and preparing your preferences once you share them. Breakfast is great and make sure to try the eggs Benedict, the brioche is really worth it. Looking forward to return.

From check in to check out the grand did not miss a beat. After an incredible 5 night stay they definitely left an impression. We choose to upgrade our room to a suite after our check in host showed us an incredible room. The robes were lush the bed was heavenly. The room was clean and welcoming. I used the concierge service to arrange a little surprise for my fiancé and they did not disappoint and made the experience special. The massage service at the spa was spot on and the room service was well manicured. The bar welcomed us for drinks and the bartenders prepared delicious curated cocktails. The location is right in the heart of the action but just enough steps away to afford you the peace you are looking for. We never used a taxi or uber as the location is incredible. This hotel really gave my fiancé and I a truly memorable experience

Great stay at Sofitel The Grand during my visit at an event in Amsterdam. Friendly and professional staff guide you through check-in. As during my stay, received a beautiful upgrade to suite. Spacious with seperate living room / sleep room, make you feel more comfortable and enjoyable. Delicious dining at the hotel restaurant Oriole and to finish the next morning with a hearty breakfast. Thank you for your hospitality and will come back in the next time.

The Sofitel Grand was an ok property. Upon check, I asked about an upgrade, if available, (per your website), they said they gave me an upgrade to a canal view. A very small dark room. Not at all what I expected, a true disappointment!
