Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam is a legend along the city’s fabled canals. This magnificent grouping of 17th- and 18th-century palaces, set along the prestigious, UNESCO-protected Herengracht in the Golden Bend neighborhood, brings the legendary True Waldorf Service to the heart of Holland’s capital. Authentic contemporary decor and architectural touches define the 93 elegant rooms, lofts, and suites. The King Lofts, located on the highest floor, with the building’s original wooden beams, are particularly enticing. Dine with a two-Michelin-starred chef in Spectrum, followed by after-dinner cocktails at the stylish Vault Bar.

Such a great stay - so many great parts. I had one of the best welcomes of any hotel ever with the warm welcome from Bruno and Helene - they are assets to the brand and exude the true spirit of hospitality. They were welcoming me vs. just checking me in an shuffling me to the room. The concierges here are also all excellent - super efficient, friendly, and their suggestions were spot on - working with them was effortless and wonderful. The hotel is a quiet, low key refuge. This is not over the top The spa, gym, and pool are great and fit the size of the hotel - serene is the word that comes to mind. Which makes me want to tell you what the hotel is not. If you are looking for a lively and loud bar scene, this is not the place for you. If you want to sit and have a drink or snack in a beautiful lounge, then perfect. Overall, A+.

I stayed here with my wife for my birthday weekend. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at ease and genuinely welcomed at this hotel. Everything about our stay radiated elegance and excellence, with incredible attention to detail throughout. We were greeted warmly at the door by Patrick, who made a fantastic first impression with his kindness and professionalism. At check-in, we arrived a bit early, but the staff made us feel at home right away, offering drinks and small bites while we waited. Then we met Bruno, who handled our check-in and truly went above and beyond. I don’t think I’ve ever been this impressed with a check-in experience—it set the tone for the rest of our stay. During the stay, whenver something needed attention, the staff handled it quickly and with genuine care, making everything seamless. We were also very happy with all the other services. The conciergerie arranged for boat tour tickets, and my shirt to be ironed, both done quickly and on short notice. The spa and the fitness room had everything we needed. It all reflected the same high standards we felt throughout the hotel. Our room was spotless, and the welcome treats—a chocolate and berries tartelette and adorable Dutch wooden sandal chocolates filled with crispy praliné—were such a thoughtful touch. At my request, Bruno also arranged a tour of the hotel, and he once again went out of his way to make it an enjoyable and informative experience. The signature Waldorf breakfast was an interesting experience (I believe there are improvement points, but good overall), and on my birthday morning, I was surprised with a glass of champagne. Thank you for the thoughtful gesture. Overall, I read reviews saying 5 stars is not fair enough for this property, and I agree. This stay was beyond anything we have experienced so far in competing brands. We left with great memories and a huge appreciation for the incredible team.

I have no words to describe the feeling of being at the Waldorf Amsterdam. Without a doubt, the best hotel I have ever stayed at. They go to great lengths to provide excellence in hospitality and delight to customers. Everything here is fantastic!

What struck me most was the seamless blend of modern amenities with classic charm. The hotel managed to maintain its historic character while providing all the contemporary comforts one could ask for. The breakfast spread was absolutely divine, and the courtyard garden provided a peaceful retreat after busy days. The concierge team's local recommendations were spot-on every time

Immaculate hotel in every way. Amazing vibe and decor, fantastic attentive staff making you feel welcomed! Due to NL Covid restrictions the restaurants were not open, but the in room dining options were great and the food was delicious. Room was beautiful and spacious. Bathroom had both bathtub and separate shower and luxurious Guerlain amenities. Pool access is 24 hours. This is best hotel in Amsterdam and in the top tier of hotels in Europe!
