First, let me say that I’m not usually a “resort person,” but Aurora has completely changed my perspective! This was my 17th trip to Anguilla, and we chose Aurora because my sister was getting married at the resort. *The Room* We stayed on the Merrywing side in the "tower." Despite some negativity I’ve heard about it, I honestly can’t understand the complaints. The rooms are spacious, immaculate, and offer breathtaking views. I could easily move in and live a long, happy life in that 700 sq. ft. space. From the luxurious bath amenities to the Nespresso machine and constant supply of water, I was in heaven. Plus, the little details – like a microfiber eyeglass wipe under my sunglasses and a neatly wrapped charging cord every day – made me feel truly pampered. They did not miss a beat! *The Bars/Restaurants* The resort entire resort offers a fantastic variety of food. From wood-fired pizza and delicious local cuisine to our favorite, exquisite Japanese dishes at Tokyo Bay – there’s something for every palate. Don’t miss a martini and steak at D’Richards – you won’t be disappointed. The bar offerings were equally impressive, with fresh juices and a range of unique cocktails. *The Beach* Rendezvous Beach is a beautiful stretch of soft white sand with views of St. Martin. Complete with beach toys, like paddle boards, and comfy lounges and great service. While Merrywing Beach doesn’t always have ideal conditions, it still offers top-notch cushioned lounges and excellent beach service. *The Pools* Both the Merrywing and Rendezvous pools were practically empty, making the resort feel like we were the only ones there. The waterpark was a fantastic addition to our stay, too! The People and Service *Hotel Staff* Naveem and Tara seemed to live at the resort – they were ALWAYS there, ensuring that our stay was as perfect as possible. Justin Time and Jermaine are truly the salt of the earth. They greeted us with smiles and were always ready to help. Whether it was bringing an umbrella or running to get extra beach towels, they made our stay even more enjoyable. It was so fun chatting with these two! *Bar Staff* Rovin, Brenda, Reynaldo, Devon, Javed, Dave and everyone else were absolute champs in handling our 30+ person group. The smiles never stopped, and the cocktails kept flowing. Each of them was incredibly delightful and pleasant. *Restaurant Staff* Chef Joe, Tweety, Sawyer, Simon, Samaro, Carol, Akela, Jessica, Julietta and Petal all left a special mark on us. Their warmth and attention to detail made every meal memorable. *Other Staff* Rohan gave us a wonderful tour of the garden and hydroponics, he is a wealth of knowledge. Desroy was a help in the fitness center when I need extra motivation! Overall, our stay at Aurora was nothing short of exceptional. From the spacious, immaculate rooms to the incredible variety of dining options and the stunning beach and pools, every detail was perfect. What truly set this resort apart, though, was the outstanding service. The entire staff, from the hotel and bell staff to the bar, beach, and restaurant teams, went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. I came to Aurora as a non-resort person, but after this experience, I’ll definitely be back!

While we have stayed in 50 countries around the world at some very nice resorts, this is a very beautiful resort but not a 5 star. The rooms are very spacious and beautiful. The things that need improving are fruit options at breakfast. There are no berries. Raspberries, blackberries, blueberries. Not even bananas. Usually they had cantaloupe or honeydew. The housekeeping was not overly welcoming. There was one day I had to call and ask for our room to be cleaned around 3:45. One night no turn down. One time they forgot washcloths. We got to the hotel around 4:30 or 5 PM, and the next morning, I realized that one of the wines had been opened from the people before. They took it out of our room, but never replaced it. We stayed in room 430. Right outside of our room, the lights were broken on the pathway or leaning over. Weeds all in the beds. There needs to be more attention to detail. We still had a wonderful week.

We again thoroughly enjoyed our ten night stay here in a beachfront junior suite on Rendezvous bay. The new elevators are very nice! This was our 3rd stay here but the first in February where it was very busy, primarily due to a series of Edward Jones groups. We enjoy almost everything here now including the waterpark. We especially like seeing so many of the same staff at both breakfasts, at both pools, and the bellmen and guards. All are friendly and helpful. Marlon at water sports gave us a great snorkeling and fishing trip. Housekeeping here twice a day is terrific! This NFL football fan loved the games now included in the TV package. We moved from here to another 5-star resort but wish we had stayed at Aurora! Highly highly recommend! Ps- as an iPrefer resort they had difficulty accepting the reward certificate that was presented in accordance with the program terms.

Gorgeous resort! Was here 14 years ago under a different name. A bit off season, quiet; except for large corporate groups. MiMi was a God send helping us navigate dinner reservations off property, transportation etc. she worked to also make my birthday extra special! Played pickleball, road bikes, walked the beach, enjoyed the pool, and had fun with all the sorbet, iced teas and other daily samples the brought to sunbathers! NOT for partiers! Perfect for sun, sand and sea lovers. Bring a LOT of tipping cash (FYI). Aurora was: perfection.

My husband and I were looking to get away for a few days and relax. We have been to other Caribbean islands and wanted to give Anguilla a try. Aurora did not disappoint. From the moment we got there we were treated exceptionally, particularly by the gentlemen who met us at reception, Justin Time. Justin and his team made our trip!! They catered to our every need! Any time we had a question or request they answered immediately and often went above and beyond. He checked in with us first thing every day to see how we were doing! We found the facility amazing. Our room with a view of the water was spectacular. We thought the restaurants were delicious. The resort has everything anyone could want, golf, pickle, tennis, basketball, yoga....We would highly recommend this place and can't wait to go back!
