Aurora Anguilla Resort & Golf Club

Incredible resort and golf course. We were looking for a quick golf getaway and wanted something other than the DR for good golf. We chose Aurora for the golf reviews and excutive course. Prior to our trip, the conceirge Avalene really covered everything in regards to reservations and recommendations. From the moment we arrive we were greeted like family. A huge shout out to Justin Time who was our personal liason for the weekend and attended to all our needs. To celebate our anniversaries, we were given Champagne and chocolate covered strawberries, both were exceptional. We had no idea we would love the water park and lazy river in our down time of golf and the competiveness in us, played pickleball, pool and bacci. We also spent a few hours at the beach where our bartender Renaldo was beyond incredible (not sure what that FM shot was, but truly awesome) and the beach waiters (sorry already forgot their names) were so friendly. It was a wonderful trip and our only regret was that it was so short.

Just ending our fifth trip here. Everyone thinks of this incredible beach at Rendevous, but the staff really make this place come alive and feel like home. My newest friend is Andrew the gardener. He was working away in the hot sun and I stopped to say he’s doing a good job, the grounds are beautiful. He introduced himself and we did the same. Thereafter whenever we saw each other he called us by name to say hi. And when he was trimming the coconut trees and saw us—quite a ways a way—he asked if we wanted a coconut and he’d trim one for us so we could taste the water! I don’t know her name, but the pretty young lady with pink braces at the breakfast front desk—always had a smile and kind words to start our day. And on day one, breakfast one she greeted us by name—how do they do that? It’s really nice that almost everyone knows remembers your name and says hello. Also a shout out to Keeme at the beach and Natalie at breakfast. The rooms are very spacious with great bed, quiet air conditioning. Every room has a great view. In the past we twice took cooking lessons at Tokyo Bay and also toured the greenhouses. This time we took a behind the scenes tour of the laundry, solar field and water treatment plant! Sounds weird I know, but it was interesting—especially the laundry—what an operation to get us all those clean sheets, towels and napkins everyday. We were nervous when they said they were building a water park, but we ended going twice. Beautiful park, the cleanest water, lazy river, good food. Everyone should go. Since the first trip to Aurora Anguilla I have longed to get back. Not only because of the hotel but mostly due to the people working there and the wonderful lovely beach Rendez vouz. The rooms are big and spacious and what you could expect from a five star hotel at this level so we were very happe and we also got an upgrade which gave us a lovely view of the ocean. Last time we visitied four years ago we also stayed at Four season, which is a lovely hotel but this time we only stayed at Aurora, which I guess says it all. The difference is the people working at Aurora, they are the warmest most friendly people and they go out of there way to make your stay lovely and memorable. We have been lucky to stay at many lovely hotel since we last visited, such as Six senses in Maldives, Four season in Bora Bora and still we think Aurora is one of the lovelyst places. Which is not only due to the hotel but also because I really love Rendez vouz beach! We are not high maintance customers but very much appreciate to be pampered if we get the chance, and pampered we were! On my husbands birthday, we got singing, baloons, a lovely cake and a bottle of champagne, best of all was that everybody at the hotel seemed to knew and was greeting him. The lovely man managing the garden and Hydrapod tents actually went out from a townhall meeting with the owner in order to guide us (but if we had known we would have changed the time)around the hydrapods! And when I asked If you could drink the coconut water in the palmtrees growing in the area and I said I loved coconut water he actually sent one of his collegues Richard to fetch us four coconuts from the palmtrees and he chopped them up and gave them fresh to us. Such a lovely guesture. We also went out fishing with man responsible for watersports(unfortunately I dont remember his name). He was such a nice guy, he told us a lot of how life is at Anguilla and we got a lot of fish, even though I never get any fish. So I was really happy even though the fishes were small. There are so many staffs to mention, the guys at the beach, the ladies at the pool. There is one person I need to mention but I have never met, and that is the owner of the hotel. He seems to be such a lovely person and really seems to care about Anguilla, and the fact that he is employing almost only Anguillan is so good. The staffs talked about him in such a good way and the fact that he visited the hotel and the staff when we were there, says a lot. Good owners caring about the place we visit is very important to us, trying to be responsible travellers. We also had dinner at several of the restaurants and everything we ate was really good. We also played tennis a lot and went to the gym, and the gym is really well equiped so we went there everyday. The only thing I could wish for is a more vast breakfast menu, although everything on it was really good it was just to little to choose from. That wouldnt stop us from going back though and I really hope we will be able to visit soon again, since Anguilla is one of my favourites Island and Aurora one of my favourite hotel. Actually this is the only hotel I have ever went back to a second time (but my hobby is to try out new hotels) !

Spent a long weekend at the resort with my husband and another couple and from the minute we got there, we were treated so well. Of special importance is how great our Concierge , JustinTime took care of us. He decorated our room in celebration of our Anniversary, offered to take us anywhere on the property at any time, showed us around and gave us suggestions for dinner and music. He could not have been more kind, pleasant and accommodating to us our entire stay. The golf course is incredible, water park, pickle ball and beach equally as fun. Overall a top place to go to relax with friends. Justintime is definitely worth looking for if you go.

It's one thing to experience excellent service at a hotel. It was another thing to experience EXCELLENT PEOPLE providing the service. THIS was difference between Aurora and any other resort I've stayed at. Aside from the absolutely stunning property, my wife and I were blown away by the service and attention we received from the moment we stepped out of the hotel shuttle. Everything you've read about Justin (ambassador) from other reviews are true. The man is everywhere and willing to assist in any way humanly possible. He consistently went above & beyond to make sure our stay at this property was unforgettable. The lengths he went to make our celebration meaningful was genuine, sincere and will not soon be forgotten. The property was immaculate and well maintained. Every staff member was beyond helpful and every restaurant on property served an exceptional meal. The beach at Rendezvous Bay was 10/10 and be sure to find Cariqua as she will take care of any needs while you're enjoying the pristine white sand and emerald water. Last but not least, the front desk was extremely helpful in booking any transportation or answering any questions about the island. If you're lucky, Jessica will be on duty and you can look forward to her smile every time you walk through the lobby. Again, another individual who consistently went above & beyond to make our stay extra special. Simply put, I cannot wait to get back here.
