Reviews for Copperhill Mountain Lodge

Need refurbishing

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Situated with a unique location and services as ski-rentals, spa and other facilities. Generally some wear and tear in the public areas and hotel rooms. The hotel over all could really need some refurbishing. Bring earplugs if you want to sleep well. The noise isolation between the hotelrooms are not the best. The same goes for the beds. The restaurant that also is used as a breakfast hall could have had better hygiene. A lot of stains on furniture and floor also during dinner. The service level in the restaurant is sadly not what one would expect with some few exceptions. We were lucky to not have booked half board, there are far better restaurants down town. I guess due to lack of competition, given Copperhills location, the price for staying could be reasonable, but the overall quality of the stay does not.

Beautiful hotel with just a couple of minor issues

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Overall the hotel is lovely, it has a great ambience, beautiful location and modern facilities. We had the skiers bliss package that we thought was fantastic value with both breakfast and dinner included. We stayed in a steel room with a view out the back of the hotel. The room itself was clean and had the lodge vibe that you would expect. It was spacious for 2 people and we loved how quiet it was. My only minor complaint about the room is the bed- I know it is common for hotels to have single beds, but this was one of the first hotels we stayed at that had not fully joined the beds together (despite us requesting a double room). The restaurant was really relaxing and the food was excellent. Sadly the staff are not aware of the difference between vegetarian and vegan and I had to explain this to different people a number of times. Although this is not something I would usually mind, I contacted the hotel prior to my stay to make sure they could accommodate a vegan diet and they said they could and asked me to make a note of it on the booking. This note made no difference (or was ignored) as I still had to tell staff each night and there was a lot of ‘back and forth’ to the kitchen to work out what they could make me- just took away from the professionalism a little. Surprisingly however, breakfast had lots of choice for vegans and was delicious and clearly labelled. We used the spa each day and loved it! They had rules written about certain times that were ‘adult only’ but these were completely ignored by a number of guests and the staff did not challenge the people who had their children with them. We didn’t mind but if you are specifically looking for a child free spa, you may not find it here! Having the ski rental shop in the hotel was very handy and the fact you can ski straight out the hotel was an added bonus.

Above and beyond

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 months ago

We were 60 at a conference and I must say that the hotel and staff really delivered. Everything from the breakfast to dinner (cool selection of wines) to the snacks in between sessions was excellent, rooms clean with amenities and a lot of wooden interior to give a supreme mountain lodge feeling and good large beds and pillows (important 😊). Especially the staff was great, made me a couple of (2!) deluxe baguettes when I arrived too late to breakfast due to ad hoc emergency morning work. Additionally the receptionist drove us personally to the Åre chocolate factory shop (recommended!) waited and drove us back, free of charge (!) as the taxi never showed up due to some random mixup. My colleagues also pointed out a dozen examples, small and large, where the staff really delivered. We were truly impressed, and the hotel and Spa was really Scandinavian stylish, warm and supreme, hence the title Above and beyond 👍🏻👊🏻💪🏻

"Unforgettable Views and Northern Lights, but Spa Plans Fell Short"

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 months ago

We recently stayed at this hotel and had an incredible experience overall. The property offers outstanding views, and we were lucky enough to catch the Northern Lights right from our room – truly magical! The food was fantastic, and the service , especially at the restaurant was impeccable, making every meal a delight. However, there was one downside. We had booked treatment packages weeks in advance, but they were canceled unexpectedly, and unfortunately, no replacement slots could be arranged. This was disappointing, as we were really looking forward to the spa experience. Despite this setback, the beautiful location, excellent food, and attentive service made our stay memorable.

Excellent mountain hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 7 months ago

We stayed two nights in a Brass room and we were three adults and two children. The room was excellent. The architecture and the hotel facilities is very nice. Great location on a mountain top with great view and supreme access to the nature, all year around. The personal and service was great all over. I would recommend this hotel.
