Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort Aruba

The best experience of me and my husbands life. We wish we could come every year. The staff the food everyone and everything was amazing.

We had a wonderful stay at Bucuti and Tara! The resort is beautiful and in a great location on Eagle Beach, which is absolutely gorgeous. It was obvious that many of the guests were repeat visitors, and I know that we will be too. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful. The on site restaurant, Elements, was excellent and I will review that separately. They have a very fair system for reserving umbrellas for the following day, which I appreciated in relation to other resorts that we have been to. Beverly at the towel hut was always welcoming and helpful. The concierge team is very helpful. Angela went above and beyond to meet our needs for a tour. It was our first visit to Aruba and we really loved the island. I highly recommend this resort.

A small but well positioned resort, right on the beach, catering to a more quiet coterie. The absence of children, pets and loud music made for a relaxing vacation. Amenities included a well trained staff, high tech tablets for making reservations at the beach and restaurant, and a level of cleanliness not often found in similar resorts. However, all of the foregoing comes at a higher price tag than we've experienced at other resorts in central and south America.

I think when you go on vacation and while you are there you plan the next trip back to the same place - you might be hooked ! That is exactly how we feel about Bucuti and Tara Resort . We recently returned home from our third visit there and once again, it did not disappoint ! FRONT DESK: From the moment we checked in , we felt like we were “home “ again. The front desk staff always welcomes you with big smiles and quickly and efficiently got us checked in. We had already been in Aruba for 7 days when we checked into Bucuti and they graciously stored our luggage for us until the 3 PM check in. We had asked if we could come in the morning the day of our check in and use the facilities (pool, beach, loungers , etc ) and they said that was no problem. When we arrived, our luggage was unloaded from our rental car and stored until check in time. The front desk got us all checked in (no key yet as room would not be ready til 3 ) and booked us beach chairs and an umbrella and off to the beach we went. A little after 3 I checked at the front desk to see if our room was ready and it was. Got the room key and went up to the room- luggage was already in there which was so nice. ROOM: We have always booked a standard king room in the Bucuti building. Bed is extremely comfortable, AC keeps the room very cool , balcony has two chairs and a small table, room has a couch, table and chairs, iPad, dresser, and a spacious bathroom. There is also a closet with 2 robes and a safe for your valuables. Also included are a microwave, mini frig and wine glasses and utensils. They also include 2 stainless steel water bottles for you to use during your stay. The water is safe to drink in Aruba so you can drink it straight out of the tap and there are multiple water filling stations at the beach . Extra info: We were told that the Bucuti building is scheduled to be remolded summer of 2026! BEACH: Located directly on Eagle Beach - in my opinion one of the most beautiful beaches in Aruba. The beach is so incredibly deep and the white sand and blue water are breath-taking. A perfect place to unwind and relax. We spend a lot of time on the beach while we are at Bucuit. And I mean a lot! So one of the big draws for us when we were choosing a resort for our first trip to Aruba in 2023 was the chair reservation system that Bucuti has in place. First, reserving chairs is included in the price of your stay. No extra fees for chairs and umbrellas like some other resorts do in Aruba. Second , they have more chairs and umbrellas than people so there is absolutely no getting up super early to put your towel down on chairs to reserve them. At 5 PM every day, you can get onto their app and choose your chairs and umbrella if you wish - and in not, there will for sure be a space for you when you get to the beach. This sure makes it so relaxing to not have to worry about if you will get a spot or not. The beach chairs are super comfortable - very thick cushions. And be sure to watch for Tommy at the beach - he is there super early setting out all of the towels on the chairs. He is super friendly and we enjoyed talking to him each morning he was there. We also love how spread out the chairs and umbrellas are on the beach. Makes for a very quiet and peaceful environment. No loud music being played, no water sports - just a super relaxing space. If you wish to order food or drinks while at the beach, the chairs have a flag you may raise and a friendly beach attendant will come to your chair and take your order. They also walk around during the day sometimes and pass out cool towels and small little smoothie drinks and sometimes even fruit. We just love everything about the beach! BREAKFAST: The fact that breakfast is included with your stay at Bucuti is another thing we love about the resort. And it’s not just some small breakfast- it’s an incredible spread of some delicious foods ! They offer made to order omelettes, donuts and pastries, lots of juices, yogurt parfaits, fresh fruit, pancakes , meats (bacon and sausage ) , oatmeal, breads, bagels, muffins, and even made to order things from the kitchen- eggs Benedict and some gluten free selections as well (waffles were my favorite.) They also have a selection of coffees and cappuccinos to choose from. You can dine inside or outside on the deck - we always chose outside as you have the most beautiful view of the ocean while eating. The service at breakfast includes many friendly and amazing waiters and waitresses. One I would like to specifically mention is Rambo. He is a very kind, helpful , polite, friendly, and attentive waiter . He always remembers what we like to eat and to drink - even from year to year. He always has a smile on his face and goes above and beyond with his service to his guests. We look forward to seeing him each morning! LUNCH AND DINNER: The restaurant at Bucuti is called Elements. It is newly renovated and is gorgeous. Beautiful ocean views while dining. We ate lunch a few times during our week long stay. One day we had it delivered to our beach chairs and a couple other days we ate on the deck. Our lunches were delicious and the night we ate dinner there was fabulous!! Great service, lovely ambiance and the food was delicious!! We loved every meal we had there !! Another bonus about the resort is it located within walking distance to a number of other restaurants and shops. RESORT CLEANLINESS: Hands down the cleanest resort, hotel, airbnb etc we have ever stayed in. Everywhere you look, inside or outside , there is always, always someone cleaning, repairing , raking, etc. They really work hard to make sure the resort is in extremely clean condition. I once read that over 70 % of Bucuti guests are repeat guests- One stay here and you will be hooked and understand why people keep coming back, time after time. We are definitely hooked and already have our dates scheduled for 2026 and 2027! If you are looking for a beautiful small,resort on a beautiful beach, a place you don’t have to get up early and fight for chairs, staff that treats you like family, delicious food and drinks, adults only, relaxing and quiet and peaceful- then this is the place for you - one stay here and I promise you will be hooked - just like we are !! They have set the bar extremely high and make it really difficult for us to want to travel and stay anywhere else!
