Amazing stay

Beautiful hotel with stunning grounds! This was our first visit to Tanzania and our first stop here was memorable with a well-equipped room with such a view!Such a friendly staff, and breakfast was varied and delicious. Erick, our receptionist was so nice, too! I highly recommend this lovely hotel!

Beautiful hotel!

My husband and I stayed there for 3 nights. We initially stayed in a handicapped accessible (roll-in shower) room because I am handicapped. We arrived late evening. The next morning my husband tried to shower but the drain was clogged. Maintenance came, fixed it, but due to the bizarre bathroom set up (there was no shower curtain and water splattered all over the bathroom) the bathroom floor became flooded. We ended up requesting and was given a new room with a stall shower which was fine. The hotel addressed our issue immediately to our satisfaction. The entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant dinners were very good. The grounds of the hotel were beautiful. There was a beautiful pool however it was raining the day we would have used it. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that was going to be staying in Arusha.

Absolutely Breathtaking- A Slice of Paradise!

From the moment we arrived, we were completely blown away! This place is beyond magnificent-an absolute Gem that exceeded every expectation. The breathtaking scenery, impeccable service and warm hospitality made this unforgettable experience. My daughter and her 2 friends begged me for an extra night stay but due to work commitments we just couldn't but they just didn't want to leave Gran Melia. Every detail has been thought out to perfection. The rooms: Luxurious and spotless, with stunning view of Mt. Meru....it was therapeutic just opening my curtains every morning to look at the view that look like something out of a postcard. The food: An absolute delight-fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We almost missed our flight because we just had to have our last meal at the rooftop. This restaurant is amazing. The best place ever. And the staff: Simply outstanding-genuine, attentive, and always ready to make your stay extra special. I could write a book about this place. Absolutely Breathtaking- A slice of Paradise!

The hotel and facilities were beautiful and comfortable. The view of the mount Meru was a different shade of beautiful every day. The staff were absolutely top notch, so friendly and helpful. I did not get a chance to try all of the food, but the breakfast that was included with the room had extensive options and was delicious. I highly recommend a visit.
