The Inn on Biltmore Estate

We have spent 3 to 5 nights at the Inn each year from 2021 to 2024 and have never had a bad experience. As many other reviews have stated, the help has been nothing but pleasant. The bedding is very comfortable by our judgement, the regular rooms somewhat small, but we didn't spend much time in the room. If you pay the premium, the mountain view rooms are a plus. The breakfast buffet may be a little steep if you don't eat a large breakfast so we ordered al a carte. For dinner we find the Village Social to be the most accommodating for our taste, though the Inn dining room is exceptional. We have never had an issue with the cleanliness and maybe the luck of the draw, but haven't had noise problems with other guests in neighboring rooms. One thing to know is come May of each year the Inn has a "Linger Longer"special offer by which you can save a significant amount of money through August for multiple nights stay. We have never left the Inn/ Biltmore property feeling anything but pleased to have experienced such a pleasant environment.

Our stay was 9/17-9/21/24 in Sloane Suite Room 436. We had a lovely time until two nights ago. A family with three small kids checked into the Webb Suite Room 438 which was the suite to our left on the 4th floor. We are guessing that is when they checked in as our quiet, restful time ceased. The kids banged, yelled, knocked/bumped around, and ran through the room incessantly. We almost packed and left around 10pm on 9/19/24. I took a chance and called the Front Desk, stated the issues 9/19/24, and was told someone would address my concerns. They left empty wine glasses in the hall, slammed doors, walked around the halls in robes, and yelled in the hallways. I went to the Front Desk in person the evening of 9/20/24 asking a second time for this issue to be addressed. The family stayed loud and obnoxious. We are Passholders for 16 years. The service in the Dining Room was impeccable. Housekeeping did a wonderful job. Our last two nights were not even 3 stars, but I hated to connect the stellar employees to this poorly-mannered, disorderly bunch in Webb Suite.

This is a good hotel, not great. Location is nice. Price is way high. Rooms and small and noisy. Rooms furnishing and deco are nice but not aligned to price. Service is mixed but generally good however NOT top professional level in hospitality (ex: Ritz). Too many “misses” for this hotel to be excellent. For example, two small elevators, often congestion in front…just a poor design flow. Breakfast buffet should be on par with Grove Park but isn’t. This is my second stay. I would not have stayed here this time except that the other parties I met wanted to stay here. I wouldn’t stay again. For 50% of this price, there are hotels as good.

I guess the only way to describe the stay is perfect. The place is fantastic. The employees are impressive. They are happy and helpful. It was really a pleasure staying here. They have shuttle service to the little village. There are numerous activities available. We did the bikes and wine tastings. Only regret is we only ate one night at the 'Dining Room'. Next time it will be twice. Very happy we stayed here.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in late July. We've stayed at other resorts around the same price point and purported level of service, and we had a great time here and were not disappointed. We stayed in one of the refurbished bedrooms on the 7th floor and, contrary to other reviews, found that our sleeping room was plenty wide enough for our suitcases, bags, and accumulated pile of souvenirs. The south-looking room had a gauze curtain as well as a black out curtain that helped cool down the room in the afternoon. The room was well-appointed. I had two quibbles: for this price point, it would have been nice to have (disposable) slippers so you are not walking around barefoot in the sleeping area right before or after a shower. Second, it would be nice to have curtains in the bathroom. The narrow, vertical window was right next to the toilet, from which you can see people walking up and down the paths towards Antler Hill Village. On most evenings and early mornings I'd keep the lights in the bathroom off, lest I be seen sitting on the can if a visitor looked up towards the Biltmore on their walk towards the Inn. Apart from these quibbles, we received excellent service from all staff from the bellman, to the hostess at the Dining Room, to the front desk staff and staff who worked the boutique shops (Marble Lion; Cottage Door) within the hotel. While they encourage people to use their own cars to travel from point to point within the Biltmore grounds, we used the complimentary shuttle service to get to the Biltmore House and to the Antler Hill Village when we didn't feel like walking up the hill throughout the 5 days we were there (Antler Hill Village's shops and restaurants on the estate are just a stone's throw away from the Inn, just down the hill). The grounds are well-kept and we loved seeing the various wildlife (groundhogs, deer, geese, rabbits) that we would see on our walks or from the car on the estate grounds. They have several biking and hiking trails that are easily accessible by foot from the Inn. We have also stayed at the Omni Grove Park Inn during a previous visit to Asheville. While that property has its charms, I find that has a lot more people milling about in a smaller property, there's more of a concentration of guests, where on the Biltmore Estate's grounds and at the Inn, it feels more peaceful, quiet and tranquil. A quieter, different vibe, if you are looking for a luxury hotel that is not in the middle of a neighborhood.
