My girlfriend & I just pay a visit vacations trip to Greece that included 3 nights at the Grand Resort Lagonissi, about 35-40 minutes south of downtown Athens. Our experience was decent and the property was wonderful. We had an absolutely amazing stay. Our room was first-class, with a private infinity plunge pool, sea view, in-room steam shower and nautilus equipment. The property restaurants were amazing, although service was a bit slow. Prices are insanely high, but we would love to stay there again.

I don’t really do poor reviews but this is my experience in mid Nov. Stayed at 117 bungalow for two nights. As others have mentioned this series is old and tired albeit generous in size. Probably good for families. The immediate issues are: - red ants and spiders in the shower floor ( the person who showed me the room and the operation of the steam room obviously saw it but chose to ignore it) - red ants in the towels (I gather they probably wanted a warm place) - cobwebs in corners of the living room I suspect the bungalow was vacant for weeks and no housekeeping was done until I checked in. If not then they have a real housekeeping issue. I immediately asked to change rooms. Emilia from Lagonissi was accommodating but only rooms in main building available (much smaller and were also not renovated) So I decided to stay in the bungalow. Subsequent issues: - no hot water when taking a shower after a corporate event. Reported to reception and they offered to send technician but it was past midnight so I asked them to note and look at it in the morning. The next day there was hot water in the morning so I assumed it was fixed overnight. But the problem then manifested itself the second evening. Beware - no usb sockets in the bungalows. Gym: decent size but equipment tired and not functional. Free weights only go up to 12.5 kg. Bars are rusty. 2 treadmills are functioning and the incline function does not work on one of them (the one nearest the door) Nespresso machine in room was terrible. Didn’t use it as the limescale on the water container was terrible. On check out no one asked about the stay. Pity. Anyway the setting was lovely but the hardware lets the resort down. It really needs a complete renovation before it can be called Grand.

On a positive note, the ocean views were very nice and the resort is likely better suited to a traveler on holiday without the need for any business services. However, if you're planning a corporate event, be cautious. We hosted a group of nearly 60 guests, and the feedback from our group regarding the venue was overwhelmingly negative. The rooms in the main building felt tired and dated, with air conditioning issues in most rooms. Additionally, irons were unavailable, making it difficult to attend events without wrinkled clothes due to inconvenient turnaround times. This is an easy fix with a couple of irons on hand in housekeeping for guest emergency use. Lagonissi might have been 5 stars in the past, but it now feels more like a 3-4 star. The overall quality didn't match the high price, and it simply can't compete with other top-tier hotels. Beyond the facilities, the staff seemed generally unhappy and generally unaccommodating to our group, even with simple requests. Overall, we expected much more, and it was a disappointing experience. We give Lagonissi a 2-star rating for corporate events.

Absolutely fabulous resort! We stayed there for 4 nights. We stayed in the sunrise suite. It was so beautiful and right on the Mediterranean Sea. The suite was very nice and had everything that we could have asked for. The staff were all wonderful! The restaurants are top notch. If you want to be spoiled, stay here. You won’t be sorry.

This is one of the worst hotels, I have ever stayed. I don’t know how is the accommodation in the bungalows, but the rooms in the main building are extremely awful. I was given a room at the reception floor, these are the rooms, which start with 6. When I entered it I was hit by terrible smell of old stuff, coupled with a smell of chemicals. I asked the receptionist to change the room and this took them an hour and a half to give me the room next door. For my big surprise the smell and the facilities in the room were completely the same! If it depends on me I would immediately close this place for complete renovation. It is horrible! The only nice thing is the location and the surrounding nature! p.s.: Take a look at the bizarre equipment in the bathroom - 9 inches TV set, more than 30 years old!!
