We have stay 3 times at the JW during December 2024 and although there was still some work being done in the hotel the experience was perfect. Staff, restaurant, rooms everything was perfect! I highly recommend for business or vacation, you wont regret it. Thanks all the team for the amazing experience!

Rooms are nicely appointed with very comfortable beds, quality free water, wonderful bath room with soaker tub and a shower with good amenities. From a room comfort perspective they had thought of everything. The one negative was the TV. They expect you to figure out how to access your own streaming services - ugh! Couldn’t get that to work mainly, I believe, because it required using Google Chromecast. Anyway, the room service menu would not load and basically we could get nothing done through the TV except watch a few channels with low quality content. And the restaurant had a management and scheduling issue - who was our waiter? The food was very good though.

This is a fabulous hotel and is centrally located to many tourist attractions. Buffet breakfast is great but it shows us that there is no easy way to access he restaurant from the hotel lobby without physically going outside. Who wants to do that for a stroller or wheelchair when it’s cold, windy any/or rainy? Given the gut renovation at this hotel I sincerely hope they will address this - easy to just install an electronic ramp like most places have in the US. This is why I ranked it 4 instead of 5 stars.

Good central location next to the waterfront bars and restaurants. Excellent car valet service and helpful staff. Modern room with attractive furnishings. Didn’t try the breakfast but would definitely recommend this place from a central location point of view - walkable everywhere

A hotel in transition that is far from ideal at the moment and has some fundamental flaws: 1. Check in: surprised that there is no lobby. The entire hotel is under construction and check in took place in an area that must typically be part of the loading bay. The front office desks are literally on wheels. A very uninviting first impression. 2. Amenities: there are none! Apart from your room and the breakfast restaurant, all other facilities are closed. No lobby to sit in, No executive lounge, No gym, No swimming pool nada. Staff, were cagey about when these renovations would finally be finished. They have been in progress for over a year and many deadlines have apparently been missed. Suggest you call the hotel and make sure the facilities you desire are open before you make a reservation. I must have missed the renovation fine print on the marriott website when making my booking. 3. Rooms: these are lovely and brand new. However, there was a tour group staying on my floor, having a lengthy conversation in the corridor. You could hear every word from within my room. I expected things to improve once they moved into their respective rooms, but no! One was able to continue listening to normal voice conversation in rooms on either side. The sound proofing is terrible and obviously not something that was considered as important during the current renovations. IMO a major flaw! Also, renovation noise starts early and continues throughout the day, every day. Bring earplugs. 4. Service: exceptionally good from most staff. I was truly impressed! But then the hotel kept missing my wake up calls and as a result I ran late for some meetings. 5. Breakfast: very nice restaurant ambience and great food, coffee and service. One of the highlights of the hotel. Breakfast items were varied, different and of high quality, which meant I ended up inviting business guests over several mornings.
