Proper Place to Stay in Austin
Excellent service, fantastic food, and an elegant aesthetic throughout the property. The location is perfect for easy access to Mopac expressway to avoid the majority of downtown traffic. Will definitely be returning for future trips to Austin, The Proper is the place to stay!

Garbage trucks just below
Avoid at all costs. Was on the 3rd floor facing parking garage, at 5:00 both mornings garbage trucks directly outside banging about for a shockingly long time. No chance of getting back to sleep after 20 minutes of that. Terrible. Really needed an exea hour or two of sleep.

Had a great stay—staff was welcoming and the service was excellent. The hospitality exceeded my expectations, with everyone going out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. The room was spotless, well-designed, and had everything I needed. Overall, a fantastic experience, and I’ll definitely be back.

A perfect hotel
The Proper hotel was like a beautiful. Artsy museum with lots to look at and admire. I loved all the interesting wall hangings and sculptures and nooks and crannies. I was greeted by an upbeat staff at midnight and was told that my room was upgraded which made me happy. The room was beautiful and the bed was so comfortable and I loved the pillows. So much so I tracked down the manufacturer when I got home! The hand soap and body lotion smelled amazing and I was a fan! I went to the gym every day and it was well equipped and had everything you need for a good workout! Every morning coffee and muffins were available in a beautiful room in the lobby area. The furniture was comfortable and cozy! The hotel is in a perfect location next to the library that you should definitely check out. Trader Joe’s is a few blocks away as well as many nice restaurants and stores. The hotel was very busy the entire time we were there but felt well taken care of! I’ll be back!

Telling all our friend to make it a priority
This was a great weekend getaway from Dallas. We enjoyed the high end customer service, Goldies for cocktails felt like we were in White Lotus! Pool was the main attraction and food/drinks are worth making a trip back here! Recommend for couples, staycations, girls trip, etc.
