Staff made me feel so welcome!
If you judge a hotel on how welcome you feel, a stay at the Thompson Austin is a 10 out of 10. The front desk staff was superb throughout my stay. Ian, a manager at the hotel, is a rock star for hospitality. The fourth floor outdoor patio is a real treat, too.

Unmatched Austin Stay – Perfect Location and Vibe
This hotel was truly one of the best I've ever experienced. The room was fantastic, the staff went above and beyond, and the overall vibe was unbeatable. Plus, there’s an incredible variety of bars, restaurants, shops, and activities within walking distance—a huge plus since I prefer not to spend my trip in Ubers or Lyfts. I’ll definitely be staying here again the next time I’m in Austin!

Very good time!
On 11/9/2024 yesterday me and my family had a great time in ariba abajo everyone was nice especially the valet Nicolas Gonzales helped us and gave us directions to the restaurant with a smile and a amazing mood and the restaurant was very clean, and very organized i had a nice vacation with family recommended and hope to come back soon.

Stay somewhere else
Room service nonexistent, I called from 6 until 7:30 and was told they would call back. Never did I finally got an answer at 7:40. Was told they were busy because they had a function . It’s a downtown Hyatt. Duh they had a function . On top of that you can’t order a turkey club or Cobb salad after 5. Why not? The salad is probably sitting in the fridge. At least the ingredients, how hard is that to put in a bowl. Now for the room , NO shower door . Don’t know if I’m the only one but I like a steamy shower. Without a door you have to steam up the whole bathroom. For the liberal Austin crowd, the makes waste of energy and water, duh. I must admit o mostly stay at Loews hotels at universal Orlando . I guess they have spoiled me.
