JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa

Stopped by Corsair for an afternoon snack. Hostess Alina warmly welcomed us and found the perfect outdoor spot to catch up with a colleague. The service was also great - our waiter was friendly, attentive, and efficient. It made for a really nice, relaxed meal.

Had a wonderful time at Turnberry with wife and 2 toddlers. The property is large and very well kept. Nice tropical entrance drive with walkway accented by fountain walls. We got a free upgrade to a junior suite which was much appreciated to give the kids more room to run around. Matthew was one of the nicest people we’ve met. He helped load our bags onto a cart and escorted us to check-in and patiently waited for our room assignment, then took us to our room while giving us a tour and some history of the place on the way over. He remembered our names and greeted us throughout our stay, always asking if there was anything we needed. Our kids loved the large suite in Jasmine tower. They ran around all over instead of going to bed. When they did settle down the king bed was large enough to fit all of us. There was a nice balcony overlooking the resort and waterpark and the bathroom was humongous. We took advantage of Tidal Cove waterpark though the kids really just wanted to do the lazy river. It wasnt crowded at all, plenty of lounge chairs available and no lines waiting for anything. Food menu wasnt anything special but what they offered was made well and tasty. We opted for complimentary breakfast as welcome gift at Corsair. It was buffet style with a wide range of offerings, all were made very well. Our waiter on second day Ricardo was very gracious and accommodating and great with the kids. Only thing was we got charged for our complimentary breakfast each morning, but charges were removed when I noticed the charges at check out. Had dinner one night at Bourbon steakhouse which was delicious. Tuna tartare and seafood towers were delicious for starters. I got the rib cap which was done pretty close to medium rare (just slightly more cooked than I like) and was very tender with a great beefy flavor. The cheesecake was so creamy it was like eating ice cream with an almost creme brulee shell. Corsair dinner was great as well, striped bass with perfect sear, our 3 yr old son actually wanted octopus and ate the whole thing. Perfectly cooked and tender. Everyone was nice and friendly, only hiccup was the charges for breakfast. It’s a pricey place but great experience. We would love to return for a quick weekend in the future.

Great service from Evan and Dennis. They were the best. Highly recommend. We had fun at the pool bar, if you happened to stay here definitely go there and ask for Evan. Dennis has been very helpful as well as soon as we joined. Definitely one of the best places we've been so far.

Our family just returned from a stay at this resort and was surprised at the lack of responsiveness from management. We checked in and the room was not cleaned properly and use multiple used hair ties in sight. We waited for over two hours for our bags to arrive at the room after we checked in. I’ve never left a negative review on this site so hopefully that means something. My wife and friends went to Bourbon Steakhouse and got a take out order for me since I stayed back at the room for the kids and she put a knife in the bag so I could have it for my dinner. They accused us of stealing and actually searched their bags!? I emailed their guest service email and never heard back once and would be more than willing to share all correspondence with anyone that feels the review is unfair. We drove in from staying at the Breakers for a week and would recommend just staying there.

This resort was a nice experience for my family and friends. This place is perfect for the summer experience with many fun experiences that will be memories you'll never forget especially if you go with family and friends. Also has a very expectational water park that appeals to both adults and children as they have many fun rides that you go on with family and friends. They also have expectational places where you can relax by their nice pools. The service was not exactly exceptional but still nice they just weren't able to attend many people. The accommodation and rooms were nice their were different buildings for nicer rooms. My family got the suite so it was quite a nice room and was able to sleep decently. One thing is their is not much to do in the night mainly go there for the activities you can do in the day light like also their golf courses. Overall a nice experience that you should try but also consider some of the other things like their service and prices.
