Our room exceeded expections with a well stocked kitchen, nice roomy living room area, and plenty of space and amenities for our family of 4. Only issues with the room were a leak under one of the bathroom sinks, and a leak from the toilet, both of which dripped onto the floor. We reported it twice and were told it would be fixed but was not fixed during our stay. The ski rental shop was great, and sent our rentals directly over to the ski valet for us. Each day when we were ready to ski, the valet staff handed us our boots and put our skis outside right next to the gondola. At end of day, we left our skis on racks by the gondola and valet brought them inside for the night. Inside the valet area they have plenty of benches to sit and get ski boots on, and baskets free of charge to store our walking shoes, and at end of day they kept our ski boots on boot driers so they were warm and dry the next morning. It’s a great system and works well. It is only a few steps from the ski valet area to the gondola. This is our new favorite place to ski - slopes were not crowded even on Saturday and plenty of runs for non-expert skiers.

Stayed 3 nights in a resident king suite. Great experience. Can get skis, use ski valet and gondola all extremely convenient. Staff at Westin excellent - from the valets to the front desk to the restaurant staff (shoutout to Seth finding a good room for us)! Enjoyed the live music in the lobby while we had dinner from the bar menu. Wife enjoyed the yoga class - would stay again.

I highly recommend the Westin Riverfront! Upon check-in, our room did not have a desk or table as described on the Marriott Bonvoy reservation website. Unfortunately, I needed a workspace in my room while my family was skiing. After 24 hours of back-and-forth discussions, the hotel staff came up with an excellent solution—they brought in a desk from their breakroom, which worked perfectly. I truly appreciated their creativity and effort to accommodate my request. The workout facilities were excellent, with a great selection of high-quality equipment. It was a fantastic space to stay active during our trip. We dined at the hotel restaurant, and while the staff were friendly and attentive, the food was just okay and felt overpriced for the quality. On the plus side, my family loved the convenience of the gondola and the ski valet service. We chose not to rent a car this time, and it worked out well. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service around Avon, which was very convenient, though it ends at 10:00 PM. Overall, it was a great stay, and we’ll definitely return!

We have stayed at this property several times in the last few years. Unfortunately, this last stay felt more like a Dog Kennel. We went to bed each night to the sound of whimpering and barking dogs & were woken EVERY morning around 6:45AM to barking and whimpering. We are a dog family, but this was too much. The front desk response, “oh no” and “this is out of our control” was not helpful as Titanium Platinum guests. The property was full capacity so we understand the challenge, but there should be a limit of how many dogs and the spacing of the accommodations. The property itself is a great location & perfect ski in/ski out. BUT, this experience was enough to make it our last. If you’re looking for a luxury dog kennel, this place is for you.

I stayed at the Westin for one week with my family to go skiing. Although the hotel was fairly good, the service could not be worse. Since the beginning to the end nothing since to work out but the worse part is that the managers believe they are always right. We started with a concierge that was unable to do a restaurant reservation and the job had to be handed to the head of valet. I believe he (Scott) was the only person who really tried to help. The shuttle service does not work. They prefer to sell you their private service transportation. As an example, we went to vail in the shuttle and we were the only guests in the shuttle. The shuttle left us at the transportation center where we had to get an Uber to get to blocks further because the driver said he was not allowed to take us there. Also, getting from the village to the hotel in peak hours is almost impossible and between 3:45 pm and 5 pm there no shuttles. Retuning to the room at 4 pm and not having the room made is not what you want after a whole day of ski. Many calls to be able to get the people to clean the room. After checkout I got a voice message that my card was not working. When I checked my bank app I had been charged 3 times. The manager says it is a bank problem. They have nothing to do with it!!!! I can keep on but I think you get the idea. I am a Bombay Ambassador elite member and have been in many hotels but nothing like this.
