Alila Ubud

From the minute we arrived to the minute we left we loved every minute of staying at this hotel. We were upgraded on arrival and the room was wonderful, we had a view of the pool and the valley and of course all the monkeys. We had an outside bathroom which was such an amazing experience- just don't shower too late or you'll be joined by the cast of a bugs life! Hahaha! The staff at the hotel are part of the charm they couldn't do enough for us whilst we were there and sent many things to our room when my husband felt unwell. They cooked a special plain meal and didn't charge for the hassle. The rooms are stunning, the hotel itself is amazing. The only thing I'd advise is it isn't accessible friendly- not the place for anyone who has difficulty with stairs and just beware of the cheeky monkeys! One managed to get in our room at one point and take some food.

Loved it. You will not be disappointed. h Hotel Alila highly recommend it. Our stay was effortless& staff are caring attending to every need. We were impressed with everything but only dining in sometimes so cannot comment on the wider dinner menu but it did look great. The hotel is of very high standards from our bedroom to afternoon tea in the lovely Cabana. The views and location were amazing set back in monkey forest and great location to take these special photos.

We spent two magical nights at Alila Ubud for our honeymoon in 2022, and it was a truly memorable experience. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the stunning poolside area. Each day, we were visited by “playful” monkeys, adding a delightful touch to our relaxing moments by the pool. The Hotel design by Kerry Hill, known for his work with Aman resorts, really shines here, creating a serene and luxurious atmosphere. Breakfast was a pleasant experience with a decent selection of options. While it may not have been extravagant, we appreciated the quality and freshness of the food. It set a lovely tone for our days of exploration in Ubud. Alila Ubud is perfectly situated, allowing us to easily access the vibrant culture and natural beauty of Ubud. The hotel offers various inclusive activities, which we found enriching and enjoyable. From morning sessions to guided tours, there was always something to do. While we loved the overall experience, we did find our room a bit dated. I think an upgrade to a suite would have enhanced our stay significantly. The charm of the hotel is undeniable, but a refreshing touch in the room’s decor would elevate the experience. Despite the minor room concerns, our stay at Alila Ubud was wonderful. The combination of the beautiful pool, engaging activities, and the enchanting location made it a perfect honeymoon getaway. We would definitely recommend this hotel to couples looking for a serene and romantic retreat in Ubud!

Very accommodating service throughout our stay at the Alila Ubud. The staff were always very helpful and happy to talk to us on a personal level as well as provide tips and suggestions of places that we should consider visiting whilst we stayed their, most of them were not common tourist spots so if you want to explore then have good conversations with the hotel staff. Very beautiful and clean hotel and location, superb for any occasion, I turned 40 on the day that I arrived and the team were very thoughtful and kind throughout. From entering off the main road as you wind through the rice fields you know you are headed for something special. The resident monkeys are very entertaining, but not in any way dangerous as long as you act respectfully and remember that they are still wild creatures, but they will allow you to capture some incredible photo opportunities with them. The Spa was brilliant, try the Hot Stone Massage or the Balinese traditional both highly recommend! Food was great, the nacho dip is worth the flight alone but all the food that came to our table was not just beautifully presented but also incredibly delicious. Great work all.

Truly a well deserved 5 star hotel with wonderful staff who can’t do enough for you. The most peaceful place to stay in Ubud. Fabulous food and the strawberry Italian soda was great. The pool area is beautiful and the visiting monkeys are hilarious. The rooms are nice and so is the bathroom smaller than I expected but nevertheless still very good. The rooms are clean the beds were very comfortable and the pillows were soft and fluffy.
