Excellent resort. I will definitely come back again. The plus: 1. very good breakfast, excellent quality. 2. very friendly staffs especially Richard (our curator) who is always ready to help at any time of the day, Ms. Ade at the breakfast area, and all the other friendly staffs whom I am sorry I do not remember their names. 3. Awesome villa, spacious and comfortable, just relax in the villa and enjoy life :o) 4. great Asian food for dinner at the commune restaurant. the minus: 1. once in a while can be noisy during daytime due to the big bus on the hilly road outside the resort area, playing the Indonesian terolet. To be fair, this problem is outside Umana management's control. 2. mosquitoes in the villa, make sure you lower the aircon temperature at night to "freeze" the mosquitoes and burn the mosquito coils a few hours before you go to bed and close the curtains to prevent lights in the villa from attracting the bugs/mosquitoes. 3. Helicopter's prying eyes during daytime, again, to be fair, this problem is outside Umana management's control. I managed to solve the mosquito issues on the second night and had a wonder rest. Overall, I love this resort and the staffs that make my stay so comfortable and relaxing, and I will definitely come back again in the future.

What else to say except wow… we want to come back! Myself and my husband stayed for 7 nights to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and his 30th birthday. From the moment we arrived, it was fantastic. We were greeted in the beautiful lobby with welcome tea and a spiritual bracelet, given the most amazing room upgrade to the panoramic ocean view villa, and driven there in a buggy. The villa was the most gorgeous place we have ever stayed. Stunning view of the ocean, private infinity pool and hot tub, the most amazing bathroom with deep marble bath and Japanese toilets, beautiful dressing gowns and the most comfortable bed I’ve ever stayed in. Breakfast was wonderful with great options. Two restaurants to choose from (our favourite was Commune) to explore Indonesian food. Morning 7:30am yoga class and a brand new modern gym. It says a lot that despite the wonderful facilities and location of the hotel, it was the staff who were made the biggest impression on us. Our personal curator Citta who we messaged daily on WhatsApp and was extremely helpful, waitresses Kristen, Nitya and Lia who were so friendly at breakfast and knew our names every day showing us to our favourite table. And the general responsiveness of staff to help with buggies around the resort, refreshing our room, bringing room service. They were so friendly and gave us the best service in any hotel we have ever stayed in- a true asset to the Hilton. We can’t wait to stay again one day!

Umana Bali LXR We stayed at Umana for one week and were blown away by many of the aspects of the resort. We are loyal Conrad customers but wanted to venture out and try out a LXR, we were not disappointed! The villas have a level of luxury we had never witnessed at other Hilton Resorts. Therese villas are incredibly spacious, well stocked, and the buggy service allows you to be easily and efficiently transported throughout the property. The resort is not connected to the beach however there is a shuttle that can take you down to the beach anytime of the day. The breakfast buffet was absolutely incredible and the main restaurant “Commune” provides a limited but delicious assortment of Asian and western style foods. The only cons we experienced at the LXR was the spa - on top of being wildly expensive (as expected), the sauna was an ice box and somewhat chaotic (my wife and I had to share the sauna with two other male guests who were just as surprised to see us in the sauna with them). Lastly the semi-fine dining Mediterranean restaurant needs a major overhaul. The food was tasteless, overpriced and the decor was incredibly plain, we truly expected more considering the other two restaurants were outstanding! Aside from those two minor blemishes, the Umana Bali provided us with an unmatched level of luxury and service and we highly recommend this resort to both couples and families. The resort is quite far from the rest of the hotel and resorts areas but it’s easy to get a ride share / grab. Our favorite part of the resort were the staff, a special shout-out to our curator Darma was incredibly responsive and our favorite wait and bar staff, Kristin, Anggy, Ekka, Marcel, Sumatra and Dode - thank you for making our stay truly incredible!

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at (and we travel a lot)! We stayed for 4 nights for our anniversary. Myself, my husband and our 2.5 year old boy. From the moment we got there to the moment we left, i could not fault the staff at all. They would go above and beyond for us and make sure we always had what we wanted. They worshipped our son and were so attentive to him, he was treated like a prince. It was also a bonus to find out under 6 year olds eat and drink free, which we did not realise. A big shout out to Putra & Kristen (at the pool bar and restaurant) for just being totally awesome 🙏🏼💜 The villas and poolside area are beautiful and totally serene, we didn’t hear another person when we were outside. We did find some rubbish in the ice bucket from the people staying in the villa before us but that’s just being picky. We had the private bbq at our villa on our anniversary and it was exceptional. The food was also amazing every meal and the kiddies club was also good fun (just a shame under 4’s have to be accompanied by an adult, especially as it was so quiet in there). I read reviews before i went and a frequent comment was the there was no allocated sun beds on the beach for hotel residents and it was a long waiting time for the buggies to pick you up from villa, but i can confirm both of these issues have been noted as there are now beds at he beach and we never waited longer than 5 mins for a buggy. My only criticism would be, that i wanted to buy the beach bag that’s in every room to use, but they didn’t have any in stock, and they didn’t seem to be bothered. I would have happily of bought one that was already in the room but they didn’t offer this. Overall, i highly recommend Umana, it was the perfect getaway break we all needed. Thank you 💜

The Cliff Edge Pool Villa with in-villa dining is amazing. Love the ambiance, serenity, and service is really impeccable. Thank you Banyan Tree!
