This is our fourth stay at the Intercontinental Bali, and sadly, it has declined significantly. After booking, we received an email informing us that the Club Lounge would be closed for refurbishment from March 3rd to 16th—more than half of our planned stay. Since the Club Lounge is a key part of the experience, we went through significant trouble and expense to reschedule our trip, including three connecting flights from Europe, to arrive a week later - meaning we would only miss out 3 days of the Club Lounge. We landed on March 13th after 26 hours of travel—only to be told the Club Lounge was now closed until March 21st. No prior notice. Just an empty apology. A complete disregard for the time, effort, and cost we had already incurred to adjust our plans. As if that wasn’t bad enough, we were taken to a room that reeked of mold. The air conditioning hadn’t been maintained, and mold has taken hold. A five-star hotel selling rooms in this condition is unacceptable. We complained and were eventually moved—but only after two nights. The temporary relocation of the Club Lounge to the on-site Italian restaurant is a disaster. The staff is rushed, eager to clear guests out so they can prepare for regular dinner service. The refined, tranquil atmosphere we once loved is completely gone. Other issues show a complete lack of care. The only staircase for Club Members to the beach has crumbled, leaving guests to take a detour instead of offering a proper repair. Morning coffee is served in cracked cups—something we’ve flagged twice, but nothing has changed. Cracked cups breed bacteria; just remove them. Reusable plastic glasses for the pool area has yellowed and are smelling bad. Service is frustratingly inconsistent. Almost every order is incorrect. Order coffee with milk? The milk is forgotten. Order two coffees? Only one arrives. Sometimes we have to order the same thing three times before it arrives. There seems to be a need for better staff training. There’s a few good ones but they cannot carry everyone else. We came here to unwind, not to micromanage basic service. We don’t want to complain, it’s embarrassing - we’d rather enjoy our time. But when everything feels like an uphill battle, it’s impossible to relax. For a place as beautiful and vibrant as this it feels let down in communication, management and investment. The hotel is luxurious and all the materials (wood, stone) are excellent quality, the grounds and landscaping exceptional, the staff are very sweet. The spa is wonderful and the treatments world class. The Intercontinental Bali has so much going for it, just a few adjustments are needed to get it back to its former glory - the foundation is already there!

Attended the Balinese cooking class and it was fantastic! Warti, our instructor, was skilled, patient, and clearly passionate about Balinese cuisine. He guided us step-by-step as we worked with fresh calamari, crab, prawns, and barramundi. From prepping to marinating with traditional spices, every part of the process was hands-on and fun. The dishes turned out absolutely delicious, and I left with a deeper appreciation for Balinese cooking. If you’re looking for an enjoyable, cultural experience in Bali, I can’t recommend this class enough!

I had one of my best massage experiences with Marni. The session started on time, and I was welcomed with tea. She took the time to ask about my preferred massage mode, ensuring a personalized experience. The massage itself was excellent—her technique was professional, relaxing, and just the right pressure. She paid attention to every detail, making sure I was comfortable throughout. The atmosphere was calming, and I left feeling refreshed and stress-free. I highly recommend Marni for anyone looking for a high-quality, relaxing massage experience

InterContinental Bali Resort situated along Jimbaran Coast is really amazing! It features a lot of Balinese artifacts and lush tropical gardens. It is located directly on a nice stretch of clean beach. A wide variety of restaurants with different types of cuisine offer excellent food quality. The resort is quite large and offers plenty of space for guests to enjoy long walks, ride bicycles or find grassy areas where you can enjoy sunbeds and private huts with beautiful ocean views. Their service delivery shows consistency and is unpretentious. The resort's location is near Uluwatu where one will find plenty of surf spots, restaurants and shops. I have always enjoyed my time staying at the Bali InterContinental Jimbaran Coast and would recommend it o anyone visiting Bali. Fair price and value!
