I traveled from California to Indonesia for a 12 day diving trip. I needed a few days of relaxation before heading home. When I saw the Jimbaran Puri Belmond online, I knew this would be the hotel for me. I’m not a fan of modern hotels. The one story thatch Belmond on the beach had an authentic laidback vibe that I found appealing. I also had a good experience at the Belmond in Machu Picchu in Peru. I had been to Ubud after a previous diving trip and wanted a beach experience this time. Little did I know that the sun sets right in front of this hotel. One of the first things that I did was to get a massage. I usually go for a hot stone massage, but the Jamu massage caught my eye. They warm up these muslin spongy pouches and press them on tight muscle areas. It was much more effective than hot stones to relax my muscles. I took a cooking class where I was able to participate and make some classic Indonesian dishes that I will try to replicate at home. Before the cooking class, I went to the fish market with the chef and that was very cool to see the fishermen coming in on the boats to sell at the market. I ended up getting a cold (most likely from plane travel) and was pleased with how well I was taken care of by the hotel staff. They offered a doctor but I decided to go to the pharmacy instead. I was down for 24 hours but it warmed my heart that they were concerned about my condition and offered to bring soup and hot ginger tea to help with my cold. There can be insecurities as a female traveling solo. It can be a challenge at times but the staff was always there to accommodate my every need. If there were any issues that I had, they were quick to respond with genuine concern. I loved the breakfast selection. It’s always fun for me to try new tropical fruits. The passionfruit had a gray pulp that was sweeter than the orange tart pulp that I am used to. The tamarillo fruit was tart and reminded me of a cross between a mango and orange pulp passionfruit. Having lobster and a passionfruit martini on the beach at sunset was a wonderful last night dinner. Diving 2 to 3 times a day can be an energetic activity combined with hiking adventures in between. This was the perfect place for rest and relaxation at the end of my hectic trip. I highly recommend the Jimbaran Puri Belmond.

The hotel and staff and experience are all wonderful. You feel so pampered and like you are in your own paradise. Everything you need is here and will be provided. Thank you so much for for the outstanding hospitality. Will always pick this place whenever I am in Bali.

We stayed here on our way to another island, as it was conveniently close to the airport, and we got married at a Belmond hotel. The rooms were nice, and the staff were friendly, but unfortunately, the surrounding area was quite unpleasant. I would only recommend staying here if you're planning to remain within the resort at all times. While the proximity to the airport is convenient, I don’t think it's a good enough reason to base an expensive hotel stay on. The spa, however, was excellent. My husband and I had great massages, and the staff there were very friendly. I’m sorry to say, though, that I had a very disappointing experience at breakfast. I ordered eggs benedict with salmon, and the salmon (which wasn’t salmon) had a strange net-like material inside it, almost like a fishing net. It was very off-putting. Overall, while the experience was fine, it unfortunately doesn’t compare to other Belmond hotels.

We first visited Jimbaran Puri back in 2017, and when we had the opportunity for a quick 4 night stay in Bali en-route to Raja Ampat, it was the first place we thought of to book. It is absolutely our favorite hotel in Bali. The location cannot be beat. The atmosphere is casual and friendly. The service we received was over and beyond, and our one bedroom pool deluxe pool villa was the perfect crash pad for us to relax. We will be back the next time our travels take us to Bali.

We came during a period of really bad weather. The front desk promptly upgraded us to a villa literally to weather the storm. Service from front office, bell boys, butler, restaurant and pool staffs will spoil you rotten.

My wife & I stayed at the Jimbaran Puri Bali resort March 15-22. It was our first trip to Bali & without a doubt we'll be back. We can say this in large part because of the niceness of the entire resort staff. This property is top notch, with just the right balance of traditional Balinese style & modern amenities. The staff all but spoiled us during our stay there & we especially like that almost everyone who worked at the resort knew us by our names. The staff went above & beyond what we expected to make our stay comfortable as can be.
We stayed in one of the Villa's on property (#66) & would highly recommend anyone considering this resort to opt for one ( we can’t vouch for the cottages & other room options, but can only assume they would be close to the same level as the villas ). The villas come with butler service & we can say without a doubt that the entire butler staff from the head butler (Sudaitka - pardon the misspelling of his name) on down, are all professional & will ensure your villa stay is a comfortable & enjoyable one. The villa itself comes with its own pool, which came in handy on hot afternoons when the beach became too hot. At night hearing the peaceful sounds of the ocean or the birds in the mornings is pure bliss. Plus, the afternoon tea service spoiled us. The property has two restaurants, both of which have a wide variety of food options. Our package came with the daily breakfast buffet. The buffet has just about everything you'd want ranging from daily egg specials to pancakes & everything you could possibly think of in-between. At night the two restaurants had options ranging from local seafood or meat options to a more traditional Balinese offering. We'd highly recommend trying both restaurants, because you can’t go wrong with either. There's also a snack bar on the beach that is there to please after a day on the beach ( ahh...those ice cold Bintang beers ). While we were completely satisfied with the onsite food options there are also plenty of options a short (safe) walk up the beach if you so choose. While I can only speak for the 20 minute jet lag massage I received which was top notch, my wife returned later in the week for a full hour massage & hour long facial. She found it to be one of the best massages she's had (trust me she's had many here in the states & other locations). The value for what she received at Puri Bali verses massages/treatments she's had at other resorts around the states aren't even close. Again, we would highly recommend the spa for both couples and individuals. We've truly traveled to all but two continents & stayed at numerous 'five star' resorts, but can honestly say Jimbaran Puri Bali is by far one of the best places we've ever stayed. While the property doesn't have all the amenities of some of the larger more corporate properties in the area, it makes up for it with one of the best staff you could ever meet. We do plan to return to this property & hope others would consider staying here as well. We were truly sad when it was time to leave not only this property, but the country of Bali. It’s such a beautiful, peaceful place with some of the nicest people we've ever met.
