About the Hotel
The Petanu River carves out a lush valley that cradles Kamandalu Ubud, a collection of villas that immerses guests in the Balinese way of life. “Kamandulu,” adopted from Sanskrit, means “the vessel that holds the holy water,” a moniker that encourages finding inner peace. Beautiful location backing on to the jungle
The staff were very helpful and made a real effort with gluten free food for our daughter. It was useful to have the free shuttle into town as the location is 10 minutes from the main centre. We loved that the private pool backed on to the jungle.

Kamandalu Ubud is Sensational
Kamandalu is totally outstanding in every way. I’ve been coming to Bali for over 45 years and this property is the best. A wonderful, serene, peaceful ambience with everything you need at your finger tips. Staff are warm, kind and welcoming, always ready to assist you wherever they can but not intrusive. The facilities, cuisine and wellness activities are first class . I highly recommend the massages in both the Forest Spa and Chaya. The swing at the Forest was a highlight. Thank you Ayu and staff, my stay was totally amazing. I’ll be back. If you are travelling to Ubud you must stay and experience the wonderful Kamandalu.

Kamandalu is everything is says it is and more. This is an absolutely beautiful property, breathtaking views and just has that feeling of rejuvenation. The staff are so friendly and genuine, every single of them goes above and beyond to make sure you’re happy. The meals are sumptuous and the authentic Balinese cuisine is divine. We had a 2 bedroom pool villa with terrace views, I will definitely be back. This is a place that you can really rest, relax and rejuvenate your soul.

Heaven in Ubud and safe for female solo travelers
I had saved Kamandalu Ubud for years awaiting my first trip to Bali after hearing and seeing such great reviews. They did not disappoint. I’m a marketing exec that gets very little time for rest and recoup so my holiday to Bali for the week of Dec 2024 was reserved for just that. After travelling close to 28 hours door to door from the USA, Kamandalu Ubud was a blissful haven. The team/staff on ground here and on WhatsApp really makes this resort experience very special. They took above and beyond care of me, including the amazing yoga instructor who conducts the classes in the mornings. What a treat. Thank you for everything and I will be back for sure. ♥️ 🇮🇩
