Our first nights in Bali

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 months ago

Our first two nights in Bali have been at the Chill Hotel in Seminyak. We have been warm welcomed with a great Iced Lemon Tea at our arrival. The service was also great, the lady of the reception was very nice and helpful. The bedroom and bathroom are huge and very well equipped. I booked the hotel believing it was a 5-star hotel, but as much as we had a very pleasant stay, I would say it was more of a 3-4 star hotel. The bath towels were old and torn, the facilities are not as luxurious as 5 star hotels. However, we have traveled with our both children (8y and 1y old) and it felt very nice being 1 minute from the beach, from good restaurants and some good shops in Seminyak. Breakfast was very good, the natural juices and fruit salads were amazing as well and overall, it felt very nice to be here.

My new favourite in Seminyak.

A gem of a hotel in Bali. Beachside vibe without the noise and price-tag of the big hotels in Seminyak. Walk to beach is 2 minutes. Rooms are huge and have a pop art/bauhaus vibe. Each room has its own colour theme. I loved the bright yellow accents in our room. Restaurant is small but staff get to know your preferences and are very friendly. We had breakfast included and the omelettes here are the best I have eaten in Bali. All staff are warm, friendly and helpful. They communicate in English fluently and follow up on requests quickly and without mixups. It would be great to see a gym added to this hotel. Otherwise it is perfect as it is.

Best kept secret in Seminyak

Just checked in last night at this great hotel. Arrived at 8pm lovely receptionist greeted us with easy check-in a welcome drink was provided. Taken to our room which is huge with kitchenette, lounge area. Massive bathroom with separate toilet shower and bath tub. So much storage and wardrobe space👍 Went down to small but lovely restaurant for a great meal. Bed was so comfy. Plenty of hot water for shower. Breakfast was brilliant and great coffee. 1 min walk to beach. Only been here 24 hours and love the place. Oh and the pool is brilliant

Not a 5* hotel but good sized rooms

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 months ago

We booked this hotel thinking it’s a nice 5* boutique hotel, but it definitely is not a 5* hotel. I know the term 5* is often used quite loosely in Asia, but this hotel is not 5* in Asia or anywhere else. I would rate it more as a high 3*. The price is low but I had thought/hoped it would be a nice small boutique hotel. It was nice and small, however it feels rather dated already. Good points: - Large spacious rooms - Location is situated nearby in Seminyak albeit not walkable to anywhere - Since it is down a quiet side street, the street noise is generally very quiet overnight which is not often the case in Bali - Staff seems friendly (only interacted with them when we checked in, smiles other times - Good amenities provided Bad points: - You cannot walk to this hotel, the roads are small, bendy and not well lit leading up to it - The lobby feels dated and worn - Reception only works set hours, 8am-10pm I think. Only 1 security guy is out front at night. - We had an ant problem in our room, quite common in Asia but should still mention it - Towels were worn and felt low quality (thin, bare) - Had to pay SGD30 per night for a foldout bed (we are 2 adults and 2 children) Overall would I stay here again, very unlikely. I would rather pay a little bit more and upgrade the overall look and feel of the hotel I am staying at whilst on holiday in Bali

Excellent experience!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed July 7, 2023

We booked 2 rooms here and stayed for 7 Nights. The staff is very warm and sweet and so helpful. The breakfast has set meals..super tasty and good variety. The rooms are very very spacious and nice and colourful . The vibes here are very inviting and positive. The pool is very clean and well maintained. The best part is ..the hotel is just a few steps away from the beach !!! It is located in a lane.. quite but very accesible from the main markets. We had a wonderful and great experience here. Thank you so much for making our holiday a memorable one !
