Surrounded by verdant fields and fronting a beach of ebony sands along the Indian Ocean, Soori Bali is the newest resort to grace the Balinese coast. Located mere minutes from one of Bali's most hallowed sites, Tanah Lot Temple, the resort contains an enclave of multi-room villas with varying views. Strategically designed to make the most of its surroundings, each abode was created to complement nature and has its own pool, direct beach access, inner courtyards bathed in natural light, and al fresco pavilions for relaxing. Guests are privy to butler service, round-the-clock room service, wireless internet access throughout the resort, and sensual indoor/outdoor showers.

When you find paradise! I can't begin to sing praises to this resort. From the moment we were collected from the airport by our driver, the warmth the team show is genuine. Arriving at the resort and checkin was flawless, and fast, and by the time we go to our villa, our bags were already in our room. The villa's are super modern, and everything you need for your stay. The decor is stunning, and the villa pool is the biggest I have seen. Most are a little pokey, this was a full swim pool. The beach was super quiet and the black sand is out of this world. The service, I could not fault, everyone greets you by your name, anywhere you go in the resort, and makes you feel like you are truly special. The food and restaurant have a great selection of foods, and the chef [BENOIT] runs a great kitchen. I can't say I have ever been to a resort where every single meals was as good as it could be, and fine dining level dishes. The Spa, WOW! we had only one massage and facial and wished we booked treatments on day one as we would have had a treatment daily, but didn't until the second last day. The best message my husband and I have had in our life, and we get one weekly in our home. I mentioned to the team I would like a stop on the way to the cruise terminal for an Ice Matcha and they came back with a planned route to do this, given it would have taken 45 minutes extra in traffic, I didn't want to be a bother, and told the team thanks so much, buts it not a big deal, and lets skip it. On checkout to our surprise they had 2 ready for us to take in the car for our journey back to the terminal. So please do yourself a favour and book this resort, there is absolutely nothing I can fault here, and this should have a higher rating than 5 stars. Its sits with the absolute elite.

Hotel Soori Bali describes itself as "a hidden refuge." I could not agree more. Far from the touristy areas of the island, this hotel provides immediate access to "the real" Bali - to its natural beauty and the authentic lives of its people. At Soori Bali, you will have the opportunity to experience clean beaches, excellent cuisine whose ingredients are locally sourced with the utmost care by chef Benoit, nearby rice fields, and villages where friendly residents welcome outsiders with a smile. And if photography is your interest, you won't be disappointed. It was hard to leave.

We stayed only for one night as a final stop on a >2week Indonesia tour. The only complaint which is well described is that the beach is public and black sand and the water not really swimmable. That being said the main pool was beautiful and great and the villa pool was fine. They could benefit from handing out ice pops/fruit etc at the pool.

For travellers who have seen it all in terms of luxury hotels, Soori Bali is one notch above. Location and construction are just perfect; especially if the black pillars of the rooms are being repainted in black. All the staff is competent and adorable. For all this to work management has to be there - and is there almost 24/24 ; with the gracious GM at the helm Get spoiled by Chef Ben , originally from France, but well travelled and inspired by many different cuisines of the world. Young and upcoming talent he might 1 day get three Michelin stars. Do not miss out on activities, with the incredible and passionate Dody - He never sleeps, always trying to please the guests. The Rice fields in vintage convertible are a must ❣️

My recent stay at Soori Bali Hotel left me with mixed feelings. Here are my key takeaways: **Ambiance** The hotel being so unoccupied it was unpleasant. There was nobody at the mainpool, neither the restaurants. Best case during the whole week of our stay was 1 other table occupancy. **Room and Amenities:** The room is well-sized, which is a positive aspect. However, several maintenance issues detracted from the experience. Broken drawers, curtains not on rails, an AC that needed a gas refill, and lagging mattresses were notable concerns. The couch in the room was uncomfortable, and stained cushions added to the discomfort. Additionally, odours in the bathroom were quite off-putting. **Beach and Environment:** The beach is not well-maintained, and the high humidity due to its proximity to the sea was unpleasant. The presence of quads and motorcycles crossing the beach several times a day broke the illusion of paradise, creating loud noise and safety concerns. Loose parts in the pool and ongoing construction noises near the mainpool further disrupted the peace. **Food and Dining:** Breakfast was a highlight, being served at the table, which I appreciated as it saved me from constantly running to a buffet. First the warm food however, the quality varied, which was disappointing at times. To be said that convienently some services are quoted by the hotel in USD whereas the rest in Rupiah. So if you don’t pay attention you will order some wine in rupiah and some very expensive wine in in usd. **Staff and Services:** The staff were kind and professional, providing excellent service throughout our stay. The spa was very nice, and hotel transportation was flawless, ensuring smooth transfers. Altough i have to say that more days passed the less service was provided in the restaurant. Transportation also is quoted in usd and conviently invoiced at a bad conversion rate in rupiah on the invoice. **Grounds and Facilities:** Despite some drawbacks, the landscape maintenance was good, adding to the aesthetic appeal of the hotel grounds. Overall, while there were some positive aspects, the numerous maintenance issues and disruptions significantly impacted our stay. Improvements in these areas would greatly enhance the guest experience at Soori Bali Hotel. Considering the above this establishment’s prices are not justifiable.

My wife and I stayed at Alila Villas Soori for 4 days and we truly loved our time there. Our ocean view villa was so beautiful that we did not want to go out of it - even for food! Loved the attention to detail that was displayed. The service (hosts, chef, manager, reception) was excellent throughout our stay. My wife was 5 months pregnant when we visited. The chef and manager were extremely accommodating to our food requests. We requested for a motorbike to go around the neighboring town. Not only was our request met quickly, but we were given directions as well as a local cellphone in case we got lost. How cool is that! We had a chauffeur pick us from central Bali on the day of our check-in. He also dropped us off when we were ready to leave. The chauffeur is very respectful and helpful, making sure you are comfortable through the journey. When you are at Alila Villas Soori, you truly feel like royalty. It is an amazingly beautiful resort. - M. Ponnuswamy
