OUTSTANDING. This is what a 5 star hotel should be like and I've stayed in a few over the years. The original family hotel of the Corinthia chain. The service was impeccable, friendly, professional and genuinely welcoming, reaching out on WhatsApp and email before our arrival. The decor was elegantly comfortable. The room, with balcony was spacious and tastefully furnished. The bar great to relax in with the coffeeshop a real treat. The poolside garden restaurant an enjoyable quiet evening after a long trip. The Bahia restaurant thoroughly deserving its Michelin star with an innovative take on local Maltese cuisine. The small gestures like fresh coffee, fruit and pastries laid on at our pre-dawn check out show the attention to detail in customer service that others could learn from. Corinthia will be my first choice on future travels.

I had a very pleasant and relaxing week in lovely surroundings. The room was luxurious and service outstanding. I don’t recall a place with nicer staff - particularly Ramesh and Marin. If you want to be surrounded by bars and restaurants this is not the place for you but if you want quality it is. The only reason my review doesn’t award 5stars is due to an incorrect bill that included meals that should have been included as I was staying on a half board basis. The mistake however was quickly and apologetically corrected (and compensated).

The hotel is beuatiful, however, quite let down after We stayed for a night with our 11 month old. We tried going to the indoor pool at 4 pm and even though its november and too cold to swim with the baby outside, you can only use the indoor pool between 9-12 with kids. Quite annoying since there are no other facilities available in winter. We sat for lunch at josephines, nice Staff, great coffee, however, how does a 5 star hotel only cater for vegans and vegeterians ? The pool bar was closed, and the main restaurant which is fine dining and not what we were looking for opens at 12. We ended up leaving and going to eat elsewhere.. breakfast was also a let down, charged extra for certain things off the menu, no bananas or blueberries in the buffet station, and again only vegan and vegetarian deserts. On a positive note, staff were lovely and very helpful, however, definetely not worth the 185 eur a night!

We really enjoyed this hotel. The location is a bit unusual - in a really nice suburb - but offers a good compromise for people who don't want to be in Valetta or the Magaluf-like St. Julian's. If you go do explore the village centres nearby - Attard and Balzan, which are lovely. We found the best restaraunts to be Villa Bologna and Saracino's. The hotel itself is lovely and the staff are wonderful (if very busy). We particularly felt well looked after by the Concierge staff and boys in the bar. There was talk of refurbished hotel rooms, but we weren't lucky enough to have one.

We stayed at the Corinthia for 6 nights bed and breakfast and had an absolutely fabulous time. We stayed in a grand delux room on third floor. These are the renovated rooms and are so worth it. The attention to detail the room team make is exceptional. Your room is always immaculate and turned down at night, or you can place the DND sign on and chill. Breakfast is great. Wide choice and catered well for my vegetarian wife. We only ate once in the dinning room and it was delicious. What I would say it is a limited menus. You also have the Michelin restaurant and the 6pm special at reduced price. The stars really are concierge. They know everything. They book you into external restaurants , they sort out the free ride into Valletta. There are indoor out door pools. We used the indoor one and jacuzzi which was fab. The spa centre is also available. There are bus stops outside the hotel and it’s two euro anywhere on the island and if you feet back on within 2 hours and show your ticket, it’s free. I have read the reviews and I would say ignore them based on what I have seen. This is easily a top 5 star hotel in a quite residential neighbourhood with several local restaurants near by. Top tips. Book direct and get the hotel private transfer. Airport taxi are expensive.
