The Athenee Hotel, a Luxury Collection, Bangkok

Poor check in. They made us wait for our room ready for more than 1 hour without any compensation, although we did online check in in advance. The quality of afternoon tea is also low. We faced an opportunity of electricity shortage only in our room. The kapaw ordered by room service was already cold. The shower is too weak. The atmosphere of the room is classic, I liked it. The quality of the breakfast is also nice due to the atmosphere of the restaurant and its options. However, we can find a lot of good other hotels in BKK with this price. I’m sorry but I’ll never come back here, and I strongly recommend another hotel.

Without any doubt - this is my favourite hotel in Thailand. We spent one week in December and one week in January in the hotel. The hotel has it all - Very spacious welcoming lobby, fully equipped rooms, most comfortable large beds, great rain showers, wonderful pool, luxurious and fabulous lounge on the 26 floor. But these are not the highlights. The best thing about the hotel is the personal service you receive - As a Platinum for Life member, I spend many nights in hotels, but I have never ever experienced service levels and staff dedication like in The Athenee. And I mean - all of them. They make you feel like came for a family visit. If there is one reason to visit the hotel, it’s the most amazing people who work there. Two tiny ‘minuses’ of the hotel 1. issue of technology in the room - very outdated! there are not enough sockets in the room, assuming you have a phone, iPad, laptop and electric toothbrush (x 2 persons). Internet is good but not more than that and TV entertainment choice is horrible for English speaking guests. We are in 2025 - why not offer streaming services such as Netflix or HBO in the TV? The hotel looks old in regard to that area. 2. As a Platinum member I am used to be often upgraded. Not in this hotel - it never upgraded me (I stayed in the hotel almost a dozen times). They don’t do upgrades. However - I do admit you are well compensated with a list of great perks - free laundry, free breakfast and the use of the magnificent lounge. That said - I will always come back. Their dedicated service is unmatched anywhere!

This is a great hotel that offers great value. We enjoyed the dedicated staff working throughout the hotel with a particular emphasis being placed on the restaurant and housekeeping staff. The Royal Lounge is a great place to enjoy breakfast, tea and evening beverages.

I had the muscle release massage and had the steam shower prior to massage. The environment is very relaxing. Noi was very good and very considerate. Whole experience was great: from the reception all the way to completion. Highly recommended.

The Athenee Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel in Bangkok, offers a strategic location and superb service. The breakfast buffet is fantastic, making it perfect for a holiday stay. Also, we loved the executive lounge with its delightful afternoon tea offers. Highly recommended!
