Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok

All in all, fantastic experience. Decoration is new and seems they used expensive materials. I am an IHG diamond and this one is better than Intercontinental. Way better than Grand Hyatt. Receptionist (Grape) and room service people were very friendly. I was stunned that they have receptionists speaking fluent Mandarin and English like natives. Room is spacious, with high ceilings.

Central location, yet close to a lot of greenery. The lobby may be a bit gloomy, but rooms are large and thoughtfully designed. The breakfast buffet is excellent. Nice swimming pool, although a bit too narrow for a property this size, so only a maximum of 5 people can swim at the same time. Outstanding staff - efficient and friendly.

The Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok is, by far, the best Kimpton hotel I’ve stayed at, and it’s one I would wholeheartedly recommend. From November 7 to November 10, 2024, my wife and I celebrated our fifth anniversary by staying in the Junior Suite, room 1401. The hotel went above and beyond by not only upgrading our room but also decorating it beautifully for our special occasion. The thoughtful setup made us feel an incredible sense of delight the moment we stepped in. Throughout our stay, we encountered various hotel staff, including receptionists, lobby greeters, restaurant staff, housekeeping, and operators. Each and every one of them displayed a high level of professionalism and went out of their way to fulfill every guest’s needs. I've visited Japan over 50 times and experienced the famed Omotenashi hospitality there, but the warmth here at Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok felt unique. Every member of the team treated us with a warmth that felt more like the welcome from an old friend, creating a truly homely atmosphere. One person who particularly stood out was GRAPE at the front desk. Knowing it was our first trip to Thailand, she thoughtfully prepared a souvenir for us. Upon check-out, she even assisted with our luggage and saw us off right until we were in the car. There’s no way I could fully capture the joy of this experience in words, so I sincerely recommend you come experience it yourself. I’m already looking forward to my next trip to Thailand and another stay at the Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok!

I loved my stay here! I would have to look very hard to find something to complain about as everything from service to room quality to cleanliness was great. The breakfast is AMAZING with tons of options even for me as a vegetarian, which I really appreciated. In fact, all the food in the hotel restaurants was excellent; even the room service menu was reasonably priced and very tasty. We got a status upgrade to a beautiful suite with a city view. The service was extremely friendly and efficient. Would definitely come here again if I come back to Bangkok!
