Riva Surya

A very nice hotel with very nice and clean rooms. The quality of the food at the restaurant was excellent. We found the staff to be very friendly, attentive and courteous. Very nice and central location to explore Old Bangkok and its sights. We will come back.

Lovely boutique hotel right on the Chao Phraya river with rooms overlooking it and also a nice restaurant virtually on the river bank. The public ferry point is just 2 mins walk and one can reach many destinations very conveniently by ferry. Though the hotel is a little pricy, the amenities justify the cost. Service is excellent and all staff members very nice and courteous. Would definitely return.

Fantastic hotel in an excellent location. Staff was terrific. rooms were nicely decorated. very clean and very comfortable. We opted for a river view, which was great. Breakfast is excellent, with many terrific options. Lunch and dinner are also very nice, particularly sitting by the river. Excellent salads and local specialties. We enjoyed delicious Thai food - particularly liked the fried spring rolls and northern thai curry. We stayed twice - in February and March, and both times were great. The proximity to the hop on hop off boat is a bonus. We walked to the dock and hopped on both visits. There are also some good places to eat in the nearby alley Soi Chana Songkhram - Madame Musur was a favorite with excellent cocktails and curries - and a great place to watch the world go by. There is also a seven-eleven nearby - good place for anything you might have forgotten to bring along. Don't miss the pool at Riva Surya - great place to relax. We were very happy with our stay. The hotel was conveniently located near the hop on hop off ferry which we used to do sightseeing in the area. It’s also in a very walkable neighborhood where we were able to find great local food options and a market type area. Great views from our balcony and a very nice pool and helpful staff rounded out a great stay.

The hotel is in a great location. close to main attractions and the market is just across the road on the left where you will find great places to eat. The restaurant at the hotel serves a broad range of dishes, to a very high standard. The rooms are well appointed & ours was on the first floor overlooking the pool and river. We dial get some noise from the hotel next door and the party river cruises but these seemed to stop by about 9.30pm. The gym on the first floor had one of each cardio machines & some weights & was always empty when I visited. The staff were lovely and very welcoming. A great base to explore Bangkok from
