The legendary capital of ancient Siam, Sukhothai now bestows its name on one of Bangkok(TM)s most celebrated hotels. In this bastion of infinite grace, a selection of teakwood-adorned guest rooms includes the sumptuous Sukhothai Suite, a favorite with visiting movie stars and presidents. Because culinary arts and well-being are integral to Thai culture, the hotel boasts a superb spa and a wealth of dining venues. Along with the Italian-inspired La Scala, you may dine at Celadon, whose classically-designed salas are embraced by a romantic lotus pond.

I recently spent a week at this hotel (2nd stay this year) which is an absolute oasis in the city. The atmosphere was incredibly relaxing, providing a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. We've stayed at Club Tower room where the club lounge was particularly comfortable offering a cozy and welcoming environment. The staff team there makes a difference (Gift, Breeze, Kratai, June, Marie .. apologies can't list all names) they are exceptionally attentive as always making sure every need was met with a smile. Also the Customer Manager Ploy was always around making sure guests are well attended. The gym was well-equipped, making it easy to keep up with my fitness routine. I am already planning my next visit! Also

Stayed with my family - we had 3 rooms 3 nights earlier this week. Understand that it was busy time - but frankly nothing impressive or exceptional. Because of delayed arrival times - one of the room had no lounge access which became an issue when my son and his 4 year old child boy entered the lounge place. Signed for THE most ever expensive 1 glass of white wine which was charged 4000B - the 1 day charge for club lounge access at 7pm for remaining 30min of cocktails. Ridiculous - if not outrageous. The most friendly staff were the ones at the pool side restaurant by far.

This hotel is an oasis in the middle of Bangkok. Beautifully decorated for Christmas and with the friendliest personal to pamper you.

While the staff is accommodating and tries their best, the overall experience is below expectation for a luxury hotel. Breakfast was disorganized and very tight. Some gestures, while nice were not well thought through (e.g. they gave out whole walnuts and oranges in a stocking for Christmas but there was no way to crack the walnuts without a nut cracker. A plate of chocolates was provided but was left empty a few days during our stay). Rooms were good sized but I could see clumps of dust in the room and the black tiles walls in the toilet were dusty had not been wiped down. I was only acknowledged as a diamond member upon checkout. While the hotel grounds are nice, there are various aspects that can be improved to keep this hotel at a luxury level.

The Sukhothai hotel is a luxurious oasis of peace and tranquillity right in the heart of this bustling city. The staff is perfect with special mention for Panpym in reception and Pam the concierge. The breakfast buffet is excellent and the pool area provides a welcoming environment for relaxing after a day of sightseeing.
