Bar Harbor Grand hotel exceeded expectations with modern rooms, exceptional staff, and prime location.
To be honest we were expecting Bar Harbor Grand hotel to be an older hotel with a fading glory from a former time. However, we were very pleasantly surprised as while the exterior looked old the rooms and amenities were all new inside with large bedrooms that were in excellent condition and good sized bathrooms with all amenities required. The stars of the show were the staff who were excellent in every area from the front desk staff who welcomed us to the breakfast team who provided a wonderful selection of fresh fruit each day. One exceptional level of service was that we mentioned to the front desk that our room was a little cold and we could do with another blanket, by the time we returned to our room 5 minutes later the housekeeper was waiting with not just one but a selection of two blankets! The location of the hotel is also excellent with good parking and an excellent location in Bar Harbor.

Wonderful hotel. Definitely stay here. Really nicely appointed. One of the best breakfasts I've had at a hotel in a long time. Great location, near everything. Quiet and a really nice unique property. Super clean. Very very nice staff. I would definitely stay here again and you should too.

Made my fiancé cry
They made the entire experience wonderful! We went for my fiancés birthday and they went out of their way to leave a gift and a card at our door the morning of her birthday. The accommodations were second to none as well! overall would highly recommend staying here to ANYONE. Excellent food, excellent rooms, above excellent staff!

Good as usual.
Good as usual. Breakfast could be better. The eggs must be powdered. Very dry. Love the Coffee By Design coffee. Nice beds and pillows. Room was quite. The heat pumps are great. Location is perfect. Close to the center of town. I am sure we will be back.

A great place to stay
Loved this place. Clean rooms and common areas, breakfast was great, and the location could not be better. An elevator to the second floor would be nice, so if you think schlepping luggage up a flight of stairs to the second floor could be a problem, I recommend getthing a room on the first floor.
